In the largest ever rollover the Tote has ever had, today it is expected to reach €1 Million for the first time in the Irish Tote history.  All eyes will be on the Curragh to see who the lucky winner will be, we can bet on this in the UK and of course, some people will feel they have more chance of winning this than our lottery.

There are eight races on the card at The Curragh today which starts at 1.50 and finishes at 5.35. If you haven’t been to The Curragh you won’t know that there is a great family atmosphere there, today will be no different, especially if the Tote jackpot hits the million mark.

So, who to watch out for today, we’ll start at the beginning and the race at 1.50 The Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden (Plus 10 race). Aidan O’Brien has two entries in this race, but my money would go on Finn McCool, Ryan Moore is riding and he is doing his best to get back on top in the Jockeys Championship after a month off through injury. This horse didn’t do too well last time out at The Curragh, only managing seventh place but I think O’Brien will have worked her hard and she wouldn’t be here if she wasn’t ready to step up to the plate. Running alongside her stablemate, The Eagle, ridden by Seammie Heffernan, should also help.

Odds on Finn McCool this morning are 9/4 with Coral and The Eagle is 4/1 with Bet365.

Heading into the next race at 2.20 O’Brien has another two horses in this race, Elizabeth Browning, ridden by Heffernan again and Nutcracker Suite ridden by Moore. Elizabeth Browning has odds of 33/1 with Ladbrokes and Nutcracker Suite has odds of 10/1 with Ladbrokes.

We stay with O’Brien in the next race as The Happy Prince is the favourite in the 2.50, ridden by Ryan Moore it is the favourite so odds aren’t that great William Hill is offering 15/8 this morning.

The main focus is the Tote today and I for one will be putting a pound down on a few of O’Brien’s horses today to see if I’m a bit more lucky on that than the lottery, which I never win on!

Good Luck today.
