Euro Qualifying

Scotland go into tonights game at home to Poland knowing anything less than a win will mean their qualifying campaign is over. Poland are currently second in the group just two points behind Germany and they have the most in form striker in Europe in Bayern Munich's Lewandowski.

I think Scotland will struggle to break the Polish defence down and I can definitely see them being good enough to get at least one against the Scots so I can see them losing this and being knocked out.

If Northern Ireland can beat Greece it will mean they will have qualified for their first major tournament since the Mexican world cup in 1986. Greece are bottom of the group and have only scored two goals in their eight games so far which leaves them still without a win. They have also only conceded eight goals so they won't be easy to breakdown in this low scoring group.

If Northern Ireland can withstand the pressure they will be under in front of their own fans I think they will have enough to sneak a goal and hold out for what would be a famous win to clinch them qualification.

The Republic of Ireland face the daunting task of hosting world champions Germany knowing that depending on the Poland result in Scotland, they may need to win this match to keep their automatic qualification hopes alive. They currently sit in third place in this group just two points behind Poland so it is still all to play for. If the Irish do finish third in the group they will enter a two legged play off so even if the seemingly inevitable happens and they lose to the Germans, all is not lost.

Exeter 16:05

The Paul Nicholls trained Ballycoe is a strong favourite here and I can't see him being beaten. He has already won a point to point and a maiden hurdle but chasing has always been the aim and he appears to be head and shoulders above the others here and should use this as a stepping stone to go on to much better things. The price may be on the short side but I feel that this is a really strong selection.
