West Brom vs Stoke – Saturday 4th February 2017 – 15:00

West Brom

West Brom welcome Stoke to the Hawthorns in the Premier League, with Saido Berahino poised to make his debut against his old side.

Tony Pulis' side come into this match in mixed form, with a 1-1 draw in their last match against Middlesbrough.

James Morrison (6) opened the scoring for the Baggies early on, with Chris Brunt's cross not dealt with by the Boro defence.

That lead lasted just 11 minutes, with Spaniard Alvaro Negredo (17) equalising from the penalty spot for the hosts.

Negredo was fouled for the penalty as well, with Gareth McAuley the culprit after failing to time his slide right.

It's a good result for Tony Pulis' side, with away points in the Premier League hard to come by.

West Brom Looking Forward

West Brom had been in excellent recent form, with three Premier League wins in their last five matches.

Wins against Sunderland, Southampton and Hull City have been the positive results for the Baggies, who are still in 8th place.

They are four points and one place above the visitors Stoke, who have climbed up the table in recent weeks.

Baggies Favourites

West Brom do come into this match as the favourites, with home advantage proving decisive.

This will be another tough fixture for Tony Pulis's side, with his former employers Stoke an excellent side defensively.

West Brom will be looking to continue their excellent recent record against the Potters, they are unbeaten in the last four meetings.

West Brom are 5/4 with Salomon Rondon at 5/1 to score first.

West Brom

Another Draw

The Potters come into this fixture on the back of a 1-1 draw against Everton, a great result for Stoke.

Peter Crouch (7) opened the scoring for Stoke, with the 100th goal in the Premier League for the former Liverpool man.

Ryan Shawcross (39) scored an own goal to draw Everton level, with both sides heading into half time even steven.

There were no goals in the second half, but Everton were looking to continue their excellent run, with a draw the end result.

Potters Mixed Form

Stoke have been in mixed recent form, with two of every result in their last six matches.

They are unbeaten in their last three matches, with two impressive draws and a thumping win against Sunderland.

The Potters are in a great position, finding themselves in the top 10 despite another poor start to the season.

They go into this match in 9th position, with 15 games left Stoke will be targeting a 7th place finish.

Potters Underdogs

Stoke come into this match as the underdogs, with their mixed recent form informing those odds.

This will be a tough fixture for Mark Hughes's side, with West Brom also enjoying an excellent season under Pulis.

Stoke's recent record against Stoke is poor, they have lost three of the last four meetings between the clubs.

Stoke are 23/10 with Saido Berhaino at 13/2 to open the scoring.

The second fixture sees Tottenham take on Middlesbrough in the late and live fixture. Both sides are looking to better their midweek draws, with Tottenham in particular disappointed to drop two points.

Tottenham vs Middlesbrough – Saturday 4th February 2017 – 17:30 - BT Sport 1

Tottenham

Tottenham welcome Middlesbrough to White Hart Lane in the Premier League, with both sides looking to better their midweek draws.

Spurs come into this match on the back of a 0-0 draw against Sunderland, with Tottenham frustrated after wasting a hatful of chances.

The visitors best chance of the game came in the 65th minute, with Victor Wanyama heading agonisingly wide of the goal.

That sums up Tottenham's night, Kane and Alli failed to make an impression and Wanyama not known for his scoring exploits.

It means that Spurs have missed the chance to close the gap on Chelsea, after they drew with Liverpool at Anfield.

Spurs Targeting Silverware

Tottenham have had a good league season so far, but this draw is a blow to their title credentials.

They had gone into the fixture on the back of five successive wins in all competitions, the draw against City ending an excellent festive period.

Mauricio Pochettino will have been delighted with their recent form, they will be looking to claw back the nine-point deficit in the Premier League.

Spurs Favourites

Tottenham come into this match as favourites, with their excellent form informing those odds.

This will be a tough fixture for Pochettino's men, with Middlesbrough in solid form and a good defensive unit.

Tottenham will be looking to continue their recent record against Middlesbrough, with Spurs winning the last two meetings.

Tottenham are 2/7 with Harry Kane at 9/4 to score first.

White_Hart_Lane_Jan_2008_2Another Draw

Boro come into this match in mixed form, despite drawing against West Brom 1-1 at the Riverside

It was a deserved result for Middlesbrough, who made hard work of it again in front of a packed house.

More Wins Needed

Despite that result, it means Boro still haven't won a game in their last four fixtures, a frustrating statistic.

Aitor Karanka's side come into this match in 15th place, having registered 21 points from their opening 23 matches.

Boro will be looking to take advantage of more scoring opportunities, they just haven't been clinical enough in front of goal this season.

Boro Underdogs

Middlesbrough come into this match as underdogs, with Spurs in excellent form this season, especially at home.

Boro have conceded just four goals in their last six matches, they will have to discover the art of scoring more goals if they are to win matches.

Middlesbrough will be looking to continue their overall record against Tottenham, they have won 31, drawn 20 and lost 29 of their 80 meetings.

Middlesbrough are 10/1 with Alvaro Negredo and Rudy Gestede at 12/1 to open the scoring.
