Premier League

There are a full set of Premier League fixtures this midweek with five of the matches taking place tonight, involving a lot of the teams that are currently in the relegation scrap.

One team well and truly away from that are top of the table Leicester City, and they host West Brom tonight looking to open up a five point lead over Spurs, who play tomorrow night. Leicester were far from their best at the weekend but did manage to scrape a last winner at home to Norwich. They will have to be much better tonight against a West Brom team who recorded a good win against Crystal Palace on Saturday. The pressure may be starting to get to the Leicester players as there are just eleven games left and they are close to one of the most amazing league win ever. I have a feeling the Baggies will cause them problems tonight as they are under no pressure being 11 points clear of the drop, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them take the three points.

Sunderland are in the drop zone and host a Crystal Palace team who are on a dreadful run. If they aren't careful they could get sucked into the relegation fight although they do have an eight point cushion at present. These are the kind of games that Sunderland really need to win if they are going to stay up and I am confident they will have enough about them to get the win.

Norwich are currently one place above the relegation zone courtesy of a one better goal difference than Newcastle. They host a Chelsea team that are on a long unbeaten domestic run and their confidence looks like it's slowly starting to come back. With the attacking options Chelsea have I think they will prove too strong for this Norwich team and leave them in a precarious position.

Aston Villa are eight points from safety and sit rock bottom. It's almost impossible to see them escaping the drop this season and although they are at home to an a very inconsistent Everton, I think they will again be on the losing side as the attacking trio of Barkley, Delofeu and Lukaku will be too strong.
