South Africa v England

The third test of this four match series begins this morning in Johannesburg with England currently leading 1-0. I don't expect there to be many changes to team personnel, if any, as Dale Steyn still hasn't recovered from his shoulder injury and the illness bug that seems to have got into the England appears to have passed through now.

Conditions are expected to be more favourable to the bowlers compared to the previous test, with both swing and seam likely. I think this could play nicely into England's hand as Jimmy Anderson was largely unthreatening making his comeback from injury in the second test, however he is one of the best in the world when the ball starts to move and I expect him to cause a lot of problems for this South Africa batting line up. Some of them got themselves nicely into form last time but it will only take a couple of early wickets for the doubts to creep back in and a collapse to happen.

Both Stuart Broad and Steven Finn have been bowling excellently and it makes for a very strong England attack, with Ben Stokes and Mo Ali backing them up nicely.

Morne Morkel will again be the chief threat for the home side, but if England can see him off then the rest of the attack, although potentially dangerous, has a very inexperienced look to it.

Jimmy Anderson is 3/1 to be England's top bowler in this match and I think that is a very nice price considering conditions look likely to favour him. He is also 14/1 to be man of the match and I think the two bets go hand in hand nicely.
