Well, yesterday was a great day at Ascot, like a good movie it had all the emotions flowing, excitement and suspense, tears of joy and afterwards the feeling that it was the sort of experience you would remember for the rest of your days.

Tepin, the mare from America ran an excellent race when the odds might have gone against her with the softer ground, surely a horse that will remain in the hearts of us Brits as a warm favourite in the future.

Frankie Dettori rode the race of his life on Galileo Gold later in the day, he surely must go down in history as one of, if not the most successful and popular jockeys. But back to today. Do not let us say that our racing is not diverse enough as other aspects of our culture have been branded. Racing is truly global. Yesterday we had an American winner with a French jockey and today the hotly tipped Japanese trained horse A Shin Hikari trained by Masanori Sakaguchi and ridden by Yutaka Take will be racing at 4.20 in The Prince of Wales Stakes. This isn’t the largest of fields in this race, with only six racing, but the field is experienced and it should be another thrilling day at Ascot.

A Shin Hikari has a remarkable record and is the bookies favourite this morning with the best odds at 4/6 with Paddy Power, although there was no rain overnight at the course, showers are expected today, some which may be heavy so if the soft ground turns boggy it may not suit this horse.

The ground may suit AP O’Brien’s Found, who favours the soggier turf much more than last year’s close second The Grey Gatsby. Found is being ridden by Ryan Moore, an experienced Jockey and to be fair, he and O’Brien have a good winning partnership, so it could be his day. Odds for Found are 4/1 with William Hill and most other bookmakers. The Grey Gatsby is 12/1 with Coral this morning, but isn’t even placed with the tipsters; John Gosden’s Western Hymn is up in the top three favourites, ridden today by Frankie Dettori, which may be why after his performance yesterday. Western Hymn is 16/1 with Ladbrokes and Bet365 and is surely worth an each way punt.

As ever get your money on early for a good price, do check out our Tipsters, yesterday they had some great results. Good Luck.
