Aidan O’Brien has four horses running at York this afternoon in the Yorkshire Oaks, where he is vying to gain his fifth trophy. Heading up the quartet is Found, followed closely by Even song, then Pretty Perfect and last but by no means least is Seventh Heaven.
Understandably Found is the bookies favourite this morning with her great track record, although she has been placed of late rather than taking the top spot. In saying that she has come down a length in today’s race, all of O’Brien’s horses are in good form and are expected to do well today, so watch this space. Odds for Found this morning are 2/1 with Coral, Even Song is 14/1 with William Hill, Pretty Perfect is 50/1 with Bet365 and Seventh Heaven is 4/1 with Ladbrokes.
There are twelve runners and riders today over one mile and four furlongs and the going is good to firm, this may not suit Found, the last time she faced these conditions were the Coronation Stakes last year when she was swept away by Ervedya. O’Brien has the two top favourites today in the bookies minds and with four out of twelve running the odds are in his favour.
Also running today is Sir Michael Stoute’s Queens Trust, currently 11/2 with Paddy Power. It has to be said the Sir Michael is one of the most successful trainers at The Ebor Festival and Queens Trust is a great little runner that may only be just about to peak.
Fourth in the bookies favourites is Endless Time, the Charlie Appleby-trained horse is ridden by William Buick today and definitely not to be ruled out. Out of her last seven starts she has had five wins, which is not too shabby, she’s in form, she’s travelled well and she likes the ground conditions, with a great jockey like Buick, she could be today’s dark horse. Odds this morning on Endless Time are a healthy 8/1 with BetVictor.
Pop back tomorrow when we will run through another feature race at York, there is plenty of other racing around today too, with cards at Chepstow, Fontwell, Hamilton and Stratford and across the water at Killarney.
Good Luck today.
