Drum Valley for Oliver Sherwood is at the top of the handicap in this Class 3 handicap hurdle over two miles and five furlongs. He hasn't run since last year where he had a couple of decent efforts finishing second in a higher class of race than today's. He has the claimer Ben Ffrench Davis on board again who takes off a very useful ten pounds, however I am worried that with the amount of time he has been away from the track will mean he needs this run to get back into proper shape.

Anthony Honeyball runs Taradrewe and she is a worthy favourite looking to complete a hat trick here today. Her past two wins have both been mares only hurdle races but the previous outing was over course and distance and she did it very easily. She will have to cope with any hike in the weights, this time going up nine pounds, but she is in great form and will no doubt give another good account of herself.

Mercers Court was also a winner last time out here at Fontwell although that was over a shorter distance and in a lower class. Whether he is good enough to win in this class remains to be seen but he was running on nicely last time out so the trip could be perfect and a repeat performance could see him go close.

Sandy Beach for Colin Tizzard is at the bottom of the handicap and coming off the back of a 200 day break. This is his first try over this distance although he was second last time out over two furlongs shorter. He is only five so there is sure to be plenty of improvement in him, however for him to figure here today he will need a big jump forward and I think this may prove too much for him.

Promanco for Charlie Longsdon is the one I really like. She won a couple of class 4 novice hurdles very easily in May before finishing fourth in a class 2 last time out. She is a lightly raced six year old and I think there is plenty more to come given she probably needed that race a few weeks ago and will surely strip fitter today. Sam Painting replaces Richard Johnson and although will lack the quality of Johnson he is claiming an extremely useful seven pounds which could help to swing things in his favour. The distance and going are both right for Promanco today and I think she is a good value bet in a tight race.
