Forget the form book, rarely do derby games follow the script, and that makes tonight's Lancashire Derby between Preston North End and promotion hopefuls Burnley, a hard call.
On paper, yes you'd be right to think that this was another chance for Burnley to extend their unbeaten run to 21 games, but sometimes, history in these games has a habit of coming back and biting you.
Preston have a good record at home against Burnley, having won 6 of their last 8 meetings. Burnley have not won at Deepdale since February 2011 and have not won back-to-back games against them since August 1971.
Preston however, have not kept a clean sheet in 8 games, and I can see this extended to 9 games. If Burnley are on song tonight then this can only go one way, and only a victory for them will do, especially with Brighton breathing heavily down their neck,
How much that hard fought draw against Middlesbrough has taken out of Burnley remains to be seen. But remember, this is a derby game, and only when that final whistle goes will we know if Burnley have taken another step closer to automatic promotion.
I think it'll end in a score draw and I'm going for 1-1, there I've said it.
