Racing at 3.10 at Goodwood today in the Qatar Goodwood Cup is a field of 14 runners on a good to firm track over 2 miles. Big Orange is the bookies favourite this morning, last year’s winner of this race and has previously proved he has the staying power on a course this long. Trained by Michael Bell and ridden today by Jamie Spencer, also on a high with his many winning performances this season. This looks set to be another great day of racing at Goodwood. Big Orange has odds of 4/1 with Bet365 this morning

Big Orange

Running up against Big Orange today are more than a couple of class horses though, second favourite with the bookies is Sword Fighter, this Ballydoyle horse trained by Aidan O’Brien also has a stellar record with six starts and three wins, one second place, he’s fresh and in good form. O’Brien is also in winning form, with The Gurkha beating his nemesis Galileo Gold yesterday and he and Moore having a great winning duo percentage between them. But Moore is riding Sword Fighter today, Colm O'Donoghue is so that may impact on the result, as may the weather, if it rains later it may not suit Big Orange as much. Odds on Sword Fighter this morning are 8/1 with Paddy Power.

Third but not least, is Curbyourenthusiasm, trained by David Simcock. On his last outing, he came second at York, that is his only run out this season though, I seem to remember that is due to conditions he favours, so he must be fancied to do well today. Out of his last ten runs he’s won three times, so his form is varied. Odds on Curbyourenthusiasm are 6/1 with Coral this morning.

Also, keep an eye out for Curbyourenthusiasm, stable mate Sheikhzayedroad , he may be a little more experienced but he also may do really well with that. Odds on him are 12/1 with Ladbrokes. Astronereous is now a non-runner.

There is plenty of other racing around today, with cards at Epsom, Nottingham and Stratford, as well as Galway and Ffos Las in Ireland today.

As ever get those early prices and Good Luck.
