Rainbow Dreaming is tipped to win the Kelston Cup at Bath Racecourse at 7.20 this evening. This class 3 handicap has 6 runners and the going is at the moment soft. There has been quite heavy rain in Bath since yesterday and it’s still raining now. Rainbow Dreaming is said to be good on the heavy ground and the rain looks like it's set to stay for the day. Trained by Alan King and ridden by William Twiston-Davis, he’s used to winning on heavy ground but in his last race at Haymarket he came second on the soft surface. Odds are 5/2 with William Hill.

St Michel is the favourite today, after coming first at Chelmsford in early June; he goes into the race with odds of 9/4 with Ladbrokes. Trained by Sir Mark Prescott Bt and ridden today by Luke Morris.

Emperor Napoleon is third favourite; the Andrew Balding-trained horse is ridden today by Oisin Murphy, his last outing was in mid-May when he came third at Haymarket. Odds on Emperor Napoleon today are 5/1 with BetVictor.

Bath has a full card this evening, with seven races, kicking off at 6.00pm and the last is at 9.00pm.

There is plenty of other racing around today, with cards at Kempton on the all-weather, Catterick, Perth and Worcester. There is also racing at Fairyhouse in Ireland and Maisons-Laffitte in France.

Looking forward to the big race at Sandown on Saturday, The Coral Eclipse, there has been lots of ante-post betting on Aidan O’Brien’s horse The Gurkha. This despite the fact that O’Brien has said the ground may not suit him. O’Brien has five horses in the race on Saturday and The Gurkha has not yet been fully confirmed a place, news from the stable is that he may let him run as the public have backed him so heavily.

Betting odds went from 13/8 on Tuesday morning to 5/4 by late afternoon, this morning he’s evens on LadbrokesThe Ghurkha has had four starts and two wins under his belt this season, if Ryan Moore is riding him you can be sure he’ll be up in the top three on Saturday. Last time out he was beaten by his nemesis Galileo Gold. Saturday is looking to be a great race as expectation builds over the week.
