Europa League
Liverpool travel to Russia to play Rubin Kazan tonight and they need the three points here to consolidate their position in Group B. They currently sit in second place on three points, one point ahead of both Rubin Kazan and Bordeaux but four points behind the leaders Sion. A defeat would leave them struggling to qualify and probably needing to win their final two group games (which the are more than capable of doing). However, a win would see put daylight between themselves and Rubin Kazan and potentially Bordeaux as well due to them travelling to Switzerland to play group leaders Sion.
Jurgen Klopp has taken his strongest squad possible over to Russia and I expect him to play a near full strength team. There may be one or two rotations with Sunday's game in mind but nothing more than that due to the importance of this game.
Rubin are usually strong at home but their overall league form has been poor this season with just four wins from fourteen matches. Liverpool are growing more confident by the game under Klopp and are starting to look like a decent unit, highlighted by their 3-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford on Saturday. I expect them to have too much for Rubin and be good enough to take the three points and at a best price of evens they are value to do so. They are clearly the better team and I think Rubin's previous good home record and the potential for Liverpool to make wholesale changes have been reflected in the price.
Spurs are in a really tight group with just two points covering all four teams. The play Anderlecht at White Hart Lane tonight having lost 2-1 in Belgium a fortnight ago. If they are going to take this competition seriously this is a game they really need to win, therefore we can expect them to play their strongest side here. They do have the North London derby to contend with on Sunday, however they have no travelling involved so it shouldn't be seen as too much of a problem. They have been in decent form recently and if they continue in that vein they will be too strong for Anderlecht.

No No Mac runs for Charlie Longsdon and makes his first chase start today. He was a decent enough hurdler having won three races and has the scope to make an even better chaser. Richard Johnson rides him for the first time today which is an added bonus and although this is a competitive field, I think he has a great chance of winning today.
