Golden Horn was the fantastic winner of the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe on Sunday and it ended the week in nice style for us. The wide draw was initially a bit of a worry but the way Frankie kept Golden Horn out wide in the early of the race before getting to the head of the field by the first corner was brilliant. It looked as though Treve was going to come flying down the outside but once Frankie got to work on him he extended his lead nicely and the result was never in doubt.

Melvin The Grate for Andrew Balding has been improving in the second part of the season and was a good second last time out at Ayr in a similar class race. A repeat of that performance will surely see him go close here.
You're Fired is at the top of the handicap and has been running in better races than this one. He is however eleven pounds higher than when last seen in the winners enclosure and was well beaten by Melvin The Grate on his latest run. I think he will need a drop down the weights before he wins again and there are others that provide more value in this race.
Starboard is another that is high enough in the weights and would prefer more give in the ground than we have here today.
He's No Saint had a big hike in the weights after a really impressive victory at York in July and has been well beaten on his past two runs. They were both on surfaces that were softer than ideal and he should feel more at home on today's surface.
Red Avenger is now trained by Gary Moore after moving across from Ed Dunlop's yard. He was a good winner three runs ago before being disappointing on his last two runs. A change of scenery will have freshened him up and he is only two pounds higher than when winning (dead heat) at Newcastle. If he can produce his best form here I think he is a nice looking each way bet at a nice break.
