Barcelona have lost a giant lead at the top of the table in the last few weeks, but they can still win La Liga this weekend if certain scenarios pan out.

Had they kept their nine-point advantage at the top of the table, Barça would have celebrated their league title with their win against Real Betis last week. But after a mini-slump and four straight games without a win, the Catalans saw their biggest opponents in Spain cut the lead to nothing, and the title race is open until the last day of the season.

However, Matchday 37 could see the end of La Liga and Barcelona celebrating their championship. For that to happen, Barça need to win the Catalan derby against Espanyol on Sunday, at Camp Nou. At the same time, Atlético Madrid travel to face already relegated Levante, while Real Madrid welcomes Valencia to the Bernabéu.

If the Barcelona get a victory against their local rivals, they'll need an Atlético loss and a Real draw to clinch the title. If that scenario happens, Barça will open a three-point gap in first place. With only one game to play, Barça could lose to Granada in Matchday 38 and still be champions regardless of the other two results, since they have the tiebreak over both Madrid sides.

Obviously it's highly unlikely Atlético will lose to the worst team in the league, or that Real will lose at home to a struggling Valencia right after qualifying for the Champions League Final. But the scenario exists, and the beauty of football is that literally anything can happen.

Get ready, Barça fans. Maybe, just maybe you'll be celebrating on Sunday.
