Its the closest promotion battle for many a year, three teams fighting for two automatic promotion places, separated by two points and the slimmest of goal difference margins.

This afternoon could see Burnley promoted. If they win at Charlton and Brighton fail to beat Derby, then they are up.

So what can we expect. Burnley, who can extend their unbeaten run to 22 matches travel to already relegated Charlton. With Charlton having nothing more than pride to play for, this should be a routine affair for Burnley, but this is football, and as you know, the form book scales can be easily unbalanced.

I expect a fairly hostile atmosphere not towards Burnley, but more from Charlton fans venting their anger towards the Chairman and the board. This could unsettle Burnley, as it almost did to Brighton two weeks ago.

Brighton on the other hand host promotion chasing Derby County at the Amex Stadium, both teams are guaranteed play off places, Brighton however, are chasing the bigger prize of automatic promotion, and if they do indeed beat Derby, a point at Middlesbrough in the final game of the season would see them promoted, but don't overlook Middlesbrough, a win for them against Brighton would see them promoted instead, tense would be an understatement.

Back to today's game, will Derby rest key player's knowing they have a play off campaign to get through or will they go for it. Derby have a great record against Brighton, both home and away, and they won at the Amex, most notably in the play off semi final of 2014, winning 2-1.

I think Burnley will win this afternoon, whether they seal promotion today or not is harder to predict. Other than Burnley, Brighton have the second best unbeaten run in the League, and I can see them continuing that. So my predictions are;

Charlton 0- 2 Burnley

Brighton 2-1 Derby

Burnley to win
