Leicester 7.20 - Thistleton Gap Handicap

7f - Good to soft ground - Class 4 Handicap - 11 runners

Today's selection is seeking a four timer after picking up three wins over seven furlongs at Newbury, Doncaster and today's track Leicester. Those events were in class five and six races so he's up in grade here but the way he has run those races shows me that he's more than capable of winning amongst today's opposition. Ran in to a bit of trouble behind a few horses at Newbury in his last outing but then powered home once he found the gap and if he got out sooner probably would of won by more of a distance than the recorded one and three quarter lengths. Rain is forecast at Leicester today and the ground is already good to soft, the selection is proven on soft ground winning well over seven furlongs at Doncaster at the start of June. Up in the weights and up in grade but is on the up and if he doesnt encounter too many problems and can get a good tow into the race he should prove very hard to beat with Charlie Bennets also taking off three pounds.
