LUTON VS LEYTON ORIENT is just a difference in form with Luton losing their last four games in the league and they really do look like they are struggling right now and welcoming Leyton Orient in the Johnstone paint trophy won’t do their confidence any good with the latter firing on all cylinders in their last four games scoring 10 goals and conceding just 3. I’ve decided to play the double chance as a safety bet with Orient being away from home but considering Luton’s form I really can’t see Leyton Orient coming away from this without anything less than a draw.

Similar to the above game Doncaster haven’t been in great form winning just 1 of their last 5 games, drawing 2 and losing the other 2 whereas Burton have started the season where they left off last season winning 4 of their last 5 away games and are really starting to cement their place in the football league. Once again I’ve decided to play safe with the double chance option as on their day Doncaster can be a decent outfit but with burton in fine form at the moment they should at least be able to get something out of the game.

Wednesday 2nd September

Wednesday sees three games played in the Brazilian Serie A and the first game we are going to look at is INTERANACIONAL VS VASCO DE GAMA (23.30 KO). Internacional have solid form at home winning the last four of their five games and only conceding one goal in the process with Vasco losing three out of the their last five away games conceding 9 and scoring just four, three of which was in one game. Internacional currently sit 12th in the league with Vasco rock bottom only scoring eight goals in twenty one matches and with Internacional with home advantage and form and Vasco’s lack of attacking threat I see them as a banker for victory.

I’m going to double up my selection of an Internacional win with an interesting bet in the JOINVILLE VS SAO PAULO (23.30 KO). I think in multiple terms SAO PAULO double chance (win or draw) represents good value as they have won both their last two matches 3-0 and look in good form at the moment sitting 5th in the league and are pushing for a Copa Libertadoras place for next season. They are playing a side that have been struggling in recent times losing four of their last five games and sit second bottom in the league with just Vasco below them.

INTERNACIONAL TO WIN

Thursday 3rd September

Euro 2016 qualifying is back this Thursday with eight ties being played, not many good quality matches being played with a number of the bigger teams playing the not so great teams! This usually affects the value in bets but I think I may have found one game where the bookies may have slipped up with the pricing. HOLLAND vs ICELAND (19.45 KO) looks on paper to be a home win banker but I’m not too sure with Iceland in fine form and currently topping the group with 15 points from 6 games played. Netherlands are a bit of a yoyo team for me, one week they are brilliant and the next week they are very poor so you never know which team you’re going to get. With Holland not being the best defensive side and Iceland’s current form and momentum I think a bet of BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE at 6/4 looks real good value!! Iceland have scored 14 in their 6 qualifying games but have only conceded 3 which is a remarkable record considering they have played teams like Holland, Turkey and Czech Republic. Holland have also got a good scoring record with 13 goals in their 6 matches but have conceded three more than Iceland. A victory for Iceland in this game almost guarantees them a place in Euro 2016 next year which is a remarkable achievement in itself. I expect a very entertaining game with lots of goals… I hope!

Friday 4th September

GERMANY will want to win to go ahead of Poland and top the group knowing there is only three more games to be played in this qualifying group and will therefore be in pole position to automatically qualify for next year’s finals. Poland are a strong side who have so far had an excellent campaign scoring 20 goals and conceding just 3 but this is the world champions we are talking about and they can make good teams look bad if they are in the right mood! Just look what they done to Brazil last year in their own back yard! Can really see Germany turning it on here and giving their home fans something to cheer about especially considering the two countries rivalries.

NORTHERN IRELAND have somewhat been the surprise package of this euro 2016 qualifying campaign racking up 13 points from 6 games and I fully expect them to go for the kill against a weak Faroe Islands side who to their credit haven’t done to bad but I think with confidence high in the Northern Ireland camp and knowing a couple of more wins will see them qualify I think they will do all they can this Friday to make sure they get the three points.

GERMANY TO WIN
NORTHERN IRELAND TO WIN
