Liverpool v Watford - Premier LeagueWatford are 4/1 with Troy Deeney at 8/1 to score first.

Watford welcome Liverpool to Vicarage Road on the Monday Night Football, with both sides looking to recover from last weekend's defeats.

The Hornets come into this match on the back of a 2-0 defeat against Hull City last weekend.

Hull City suffered a shocking start to the match, with Oumar Niasse unjustifiably sent off in just the 25th minute.

That didn't stop Marco Silva's side, who could've easily fallen on their sword having to play with ten men for 65 minutes.

Former Red Lazar Markovic (62) opened the scoring for Hull, finally scrambling in just after the hour mark to make it 1-0.

Sam Clucas (71) scored a stunning second just nine minutes later, with the defender volleying Hull home.

Mazzarri looking for win

That result means they continue their mixed form, they will now look to recover at the first time of asking in this fixture.

Despite that defeat Watford remain in 10th, given the ups and downs of the season that would be an excellent finish.

Mazzarri's side have registered three clean sheets in their last six, but they have also failed to score in the other three matches.

Home Side Underdogs

Watford come into this match as the underdogs, with their mixed recent form proving decisive.

The Hornets will be looking to produce their 12th win of the season, and secure a fourth win in six matches.

Watford will be looking to better their overall record against Liverpool, they have won just one of the last seven meetings.

Palace Shock

The Reds come into this match on the back of a 2-1 defeat against Crystal Palace, a poor result for Jurgen Klopp and his side.

Phillippe Coutinho (24) opened the scoring for the Reds, with an excellent curling free kick to make it 1-0.

Christian Benteke (42) levelled the scores late in the first half, with a defensive error from Dejan Lovren allowing the Belgian to score.

It was another goal from the former Liverpool striker Benteke (74) that won the tie for Palace, with another excellent finish.

Mixed Season So Far

Liverpool started the season in excellent fashion, but they have struggled to beat the sides below them.

It's another poor result against a bottom side for Liverpool, who have now tasted defeat against six of the bottom eight sides.

Jurgen Klopp's men were in excellent form, that defeat was their first in six matches.

Key Match For Klopp

The match against Watford is another key match for Liverpool, they go into the match as heavy favourites.

Liverpool will be looking to bounce back, they are without Mane but could welcome back Lallana though.

Liverpool will be looking to continue their overall record against Watford. They have won 16, drawn 1 and lost 4 of their 21 meetings.

Liverpool are 8/13 with Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi at 4/1 to open the scoring.
