Newcastle vs Crystal Palace – Saturday 21st October 2017 – 15:00

Newcastle are 19/20 with Joselu, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dwight Gayle all at 4/1 to score first.

Newcastle face Crystal Palace at St. James Park on Saturday afternoon, in another round of fixtures in the Premier League.

The Magpies come into this match in good form, drawing their last match against Southampton 2-2 at St.Mary's.

Isaac Hayden scored Newcastle's opener in the 20th minute, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead away from home.

That goal was cancelled out by a fine strike from Manolo Gabbiadini (49), who scored his first goal of the afternoon to draw the Saints level.

Ayoze Perez gave Newcastle the lead for the second time in the match (51), going ahead just two minutes after the Saints equalised.

Manolo Gabbiadini equalised again for the Saints (75), scoring his and the Saints second from the penalty spot, after a clumsy challenge from Florian Lejeune brought Shane Long down in the area.

Tough Follow Up

Newcastle will be looking to return to winning ways, against a buoyant Crystal Palace side.

They will be looking to go one better than their previous two matches, both of which they have drawn.

The Magpies find themselves in 9th place in the Premier League, they will be delighted with that start.

With eleven points from their opening eight matches they now only need another 29 points to get to the magic 40 mark.

Magpies Favourites

Newcastle come into this match as favourites, with home advantage informing the bookies.

Rafa Benitez will be looking to secure another home win, taking the Magpies to 14 points.

The Magpies are searching for a second successive win against the Eagles.

Eagles Finally Score

Crystal Palace come into this match on the back of a 2-1 win against Chelsea, an excellent result for the Eagles.

The hosts took the lead through a Cesar Azpilicueta own goal (11), with Yohan Cabaye's effort coming off the Chelsea full-back.

That lead lasted less than eight minutes, with Tiemoue Bakayoko equalising with a dominant header (18).

Wilfried Zaha capped a fine return from injury to score the winner for Palace (45), making it 2-1 with 45 minutes to spare.

That's an incredible result for Roy Hodgson's men, who have been very poor this season.

Appalling Start

They have enjoyed a poor season to date, with a string of frustrating results including the 5-0 defeat against Manchester City.

The goals against Chelsea were their first of the new season, with Palace previously goalless in their opening seven matches.

Roy Hodgson has come through the tough matches now and Palace are expected to finally register some wins.

Palace Underdogs

Roy Hodgson's side come into this match as underdogs, despite winning their first game of the season against Chelsea.

Palace will be looking for back to back Premier League wins, after the 2-1 win against the Premier League Champions.
