West Brom come into this campaign on the back of a great season overall, finishing in 10th place.
Finishing in the top ten is an excellent achievement for the Baggies, with West Brom finally moving in the right direction.
They struggled for goals last season, with Soloman Rondon the top scorer with eight goals.
The signing of Jay Rodriguez will hopefully remedy their lack of goals, with the Saints deeming him surplus to requirements.
West Brom produced a poor finish, winning none of their last ten games, the 3-1 win against Arsenal their last win.
Their main aim will be to progress up the table and remain in contention for a trophy.
Premier League
West Brom's opening fixture of this brand new Premier League campaign is against Bournemouth on Saturday 12th August, at the Hawthorns.
Their next four fixtures are:
Burnley (A) 19th August
Stoke (H) 27th August
Brighton (A) 9th September
West Ham (H) 16th September
This is a great set of opening fixtures for the Baggies, with West Brom facing none of the top six sides in their opening set.
All of those fixtures are winnable games from West Brom's perspective, it is likely to give them a great start.
They are games that West Brom will definitely look to win, with much tougher games to come in the later months.
West Brom registered 12 wins during their last campaign ending the season with 45 points, 1 point behind Bournemouth in 9th.
This season was a good improvement on the 2015/16 campaign, where they won 10 matches and registered 43 points, and finished in 14th place.
Although there wasn't a lot of improvement in terms of points, their finishing position is crucial.
If they hadn't had such a poor finish there's no reason they couldn't have finished in 8th position, which would have been an excellent achievement.
Cup Football
As well as improving their position in the Premier League, West Brom should be looking for a successful cup run.
They were dismal in both cups last season, losing to Northampton in the early stages of the EFL Cup.
They also exited the FA Cup at the first time of asking, losing to Derby County in the third round.
This is an area that the club can easily improve in, they should be targeting a Quarter-Final place in either cup as a minimum requirement.
Transfer Activity
West Brom's main aim will be to add some quality to their ranks to help them kick on again.
Their main area of weakness was the forward areas and lack of goals, they have looked to address that.
They have signed Jay Rodriguez from Southampton, with the striker failing to enjoy a regular run of games for the Saints.
West Brom have lost Darren Fletcher to Stoke, with the former Manchester United man taking a wealth of experience and leadership from the squad.
Ben Gibson has been linked with the Baggies, with the Middlesbrough skipper enjoying a good season despite the clubs relegation.
Transfers In: Jay Rodriguez (Southampton) and Zhang Yuning (Unassigned)
Transfers Out: Darren Fletcher (Stoke)
One To Watch
Jay Rodriguez is the one to watch for West Brom this season.
The former Southampton man has had a nightmare 12 months, with injury and form preventing him from much first team action.
This is going to be a big season for him at West Brom, he has now had the benefit of a full pre season and will be key for the Baggies.
Despite these shortcomings, he still managed to score five goals last season, regular game time should see him score plenty of goals.
