Crystal Palace come into this campaign on the back of a slightly disappointing campaign, finishing in 14th place.

Palace's opening fixture of this brand new Premier League campaign is against newly promoted Huddersfield on Saturday 12th August, at the Amex Stadium.

Southampton (H) 16th September
This is a good set of opening fixtures for the Eagles, with an opening fixture against newly promoted Huddersfield one of the easiest they could have hoped for.
Frank de Boer's side will be confident of securing points in three of their opening five fixtures, with Huddersfield, Swansea and Burnley all winnable.
Matches against Liverpool and Southampton will be sterner challenges, but with a few defensive reinforcements, they are also winnable.
Palace registered 12 wins during their last campaign ending the season with 41 points, a poor season given their squad depth.
This season wasn't an overall improvement on the 2015/16 campaign, where they won 11 matches and registered 42 points, but finished in 15th place.
Those finishes prove that Crystal Palace have been on the verge of relegation in the last two campaigns, something must change.
Cup Football
As well as consolidating their position in the Premier League, Palace should be looking for a successful cup run as well.
They lost out to fellow Premier League side Southampton in last years EFL Cup, losing to the eventual runners up.
Palace managed to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup, losing to Manchester City 3-0.
This is easily an area for improvement, but they will be concentrating on improving their Premier League position.
Transfer Activity
Crystal Palace's main aim will be to hold onto their key players as well as adding some defensive quality to their side.
They have real quality in the forward areas but defensively they have made some high profile errors and it has cost them dearly.
Frank de Boer has already raided former club Ajax for Jairo Riedewald, with the young Dutch defender joining his former manager.
Steve Mandanda has moved back to France to Marseille, it is questionable what impact this will have on Palace.

One To Watch
Christian Benteke is the one to watch for Crystal Palace this season.
The Belgian has decided to stay at Palace, and along with Wilfried Zaha will be crucial to Palace's chances of progressing.
Benteke choosing to stay is an excellent sign of Palace's ambition, with de Boer key to that.
Their defence was their weak point last season, but if de Boer can keep it tight at the back then Benteke has the firepower needed to take Palace to the next level.
