It has been another season of change for Southampton on the managerial front, with Mauricio Pellegrino now in the hot seat.

It's been a tough start for the new Saints manager, with four defeats in their last six matches.

Joaquin Correa made a wasteful Liverpool side pay late on (72), scoring his side's second goal and levelling the scoring.

 

Solid Form

Newcastle United have had a good start to the season, they have shown excellent signs that they will be able to stay up.

They have taken 10 points from their opening seven matches, an excellent return for the newly promoted side.

Three successive wins against Swansea, Stoke and West Ham as well as the point against Liverpool make up their ten points.

They find themselves in 9th place in the Premier League, a position they would love to be in come the end of the season.

 

Magpies Underdogs

Rafa Benitez' side come into this match as underdogs, despite their recent impressive form.

This will be a tough match for Newcastle, with Southampton looking to produce a solid home performance.
