This Super Sunday preview sees two huge fixtures with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Southampton all featuring.

The first game sees Manchester City host Southampton with Guardiola looking for an immediate response from his players following their midweek thrashing against Barcelona. Southampton will also be looking to get over their midweek defeat against Inter Milan and extend their unbeaten streak in the Premier League.

The second game sees Chelsea host Manchester United, with former manager Jose Mourinho returning with his new side and keen to put the record straight. Chelsea will be looking to beat a title rival at home after suffering defeats against Arsenal and Liverpool this season.

Manchester City

Manchester City welcome Southampton to the Etihad on Sunday afternoon, with both sides looking to improve on their disappointing midweek defeats.

Pep Guardiola's side come into this match on the back of a 4-0 defeat against Barcelona on Wednesday evening.

A hat-trick from Lionel Messi (17, 61, 69) and a late goal from Neymar (89) settled the tie, despite Jeremy Mathieu receiving his marching orders in the 73rd minute.

Claudio Bravo made an enormous error on his return to the Camp Nou, messing up a pass and then using his hands deliberately outside the box and was sent off in the 53rd minute.

City In Poor Form

Manchester City come into this match in poor recent form, despite winning their opening ten matches in all competitions.

They have failed to win their last four fixtures, with two draws against Celtic and Everton either side of defeats against Tottenham and Barcelona.

Manchester City remain favourites in this fixture, given their excellent form this season and their brilliance at home.

Southampton In Excellent Form

Southampton travel to the Etihad in excellent form, they have been in excellent form since their opening Europa League match.

They lost their last fixture against Inter Milan 1-0, a result that manager Claude Puel described as a missed opportunity.

It's a result that has shown how far they have come, to be disappointed at failing to beat Inter at the San Siro is something Southampton could only dream of.

Candreva's opening goal in the 67th minute was the match winner, although Brozovic was sent off in the 77th minute to give the Saints some hope.

Southampton will have targeted a quick response by defeating Manchester City, there has never been a better time to play Guardiola's men.

Saints Underdogs

Despite thier excellent record they come into this match as underdogs, they will be looking to register their fourth win of this new Premier League season.

Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, with Jose Mourinho returning to face his former side.

Antonio Conte's side come into this match on the back of a 3-0 win against Leicester last weekend.

Goals from Diego Costa (7), Eden Hazard (33) and Victor Moses (80) completed a miserable afternoon for the Premier League Champions.

Chelsea were outstanding and that result has increased optimism ahead of a huge fixture for the West Londoners.

Blues In Mixed Form

Chelsea come into this match in mixed recent form, despite winning back to back matches against Hull and Leicester.

They have endured a slight dip in form, with defeats against Arsenal and Liverpool in successive league matches casting doubt on Chelsea.

Goals from Paul Pogba (31 pen, 45+1), Anthony Martial (34 pen) and Jesse Lingard (48) completed an emphatic scoreline for the hosts.

Former striker Robin Van Persie managed to grab a consolation on his return to Old Trafford but ultimately it was United's night.

United Looking For Win

Manchester United will have targeted a much needed away win, with the manner of the result against Liverpool on Monday night reflecting badly on Mourinho.

The changes made to United's side on Thursday mean that key players have been kept fresh, with Ibrahimovic and Rashford playing no part on the night.

Pogba's two goals will have delighted the manager, with contributions from Martial and Lingard giving huge confidence to the team going into this match.
