Wednesday 12th – Swansea to sink Boro?

Not a lot of football tonight but I couldn't resist it. With some good results at the Weekend and a nice profit from Fulham, we may as well give it ago as Swansea take on boro in what looks to be a good game.

Swansea v Middlesbrough

With Arsenal eliminated from this competition last night Swansea will see this as a great opportunity to win some silverware. (But I suppose they weren't afraid of arsenal after the lesson they taught them last week). I love to watch Swansea when they knock it around the pitch in a sort of Barcelona manner, and on their day they can beat anyone. Tonight they face high flying Middlesbrough from the Championship. I think Boro will give a good account of themselves, but my concern with them is the goals they have been letting in lately.

I backed them at home when they lost to Bristol City and conceded 3. I backed them again on Saturday against Peterborough away. After taking a 2-0 lead there I was counting my money. Next thing I know it's 2-2. Luckily they for me they managed to win 3-2. If they falter tonight then Swansea will punish them. Although Swansea's previous cup matches dont seem to produce many goals, I fancy a couple here tonight.

Bastia v Marseille

Hmmmmm.. All 7 of Basita's home games this season have gone over 2.5 goals and they have yet to keep a clean sheet, yet 'Under 2.5 goals' is favoured by the bookies for some reason. Marseille's last 3 games have seen 3 or more goals. I think over 2.5 offers a bit of value in this one.
