After Aidan O’Brien’s triple success at the 100 Guineas yesterday, the question on everyone’s lips today is can Found continue the stables winning form and beat Fascinating Rock to the finish line in the Moorsbridge Stakes at the Curragh this afternoon. Running at 4.10 with six competitors this looks set to be a top race, the last time they met was at Ascot in the Champion Stakes and Fascinating Rock came out on top that day.
They ran on this track last year when Fascinating Rock won in stunning fashion, then went on to have a great season, but Found has had a great season too, having won The Breeders’ Cup Turf Championship and last month winning The Alleged Cup. Today will be a real battle to see which horse wins, but if Found wins, it will prove just how far she has improved over the last year. If all goes well today, she will be ready for O’Brien to enter her in the Tattersalls Cup at the Curragh later this month. Odds today show Fantastic Rock as favourite, she is Evens with most bookmakers, William Hill has 11/10 and found is at 11/8 with William Hill. Ryan Moore is on Found, so he will be looking to complete a fantastic weekend by winning, the third favourite is Success Days with odds of 7/1 with Ladbrokes but the only horses being talked about are Found and Fantastic Rock.
Plenty of racing elsewhere today with cards at Bath, Beverley, Kempton and Warwick, the going is good to firm at Bath but it's set to rain shortly and that could change everything. There are seven races today, starting at 1.55 and the last one at 5.25, it’s a family day today at Bath so if you’re close to Bath you can combine racing with a family day out!
Warwick is also good, good to firm in places, with eight races today on the card. Keep an eye out for the 2.00 race where Jonjo O’Neil has the runner Top Priority, it’s running in a field of eighteen, but might be worth an each way bet, it’s not a favourite, that falls to Bobble Emerald trained by Martin Keighley. It’s over three miles today and with a big field it could be anyone’s, odds for Top Priority are 20/1 with sportingbet and Bobby Emerald is 6/1 at totesport.
