It is really interesting to Roger Charlton's Time Test dropping back to a mile given his last three runs have all been over ten furlongs. Previously at Ascot where he was the very impressive (staying on) winner of a Group 3 and on his last start he was an excellent fourth in the Juddmonte behind Arabian Queen, Golden Horn and The Grey Gatsby. If this was a ten furlong race then I would have no hesitation in saying that Time Test would win this. However, as it's over a mile I think he will have to make the pace to ensure a strong gallop and I am not sure if he will have the speed to run away with this race.

David O'Meara's Custom Cut was a nice winner of a Group 2 last time out over a mile at Leopardstown. He has to give his younger rivals four pounds here but I don't think that will stop him taking this. He is a proven miler and has a really good burst of speed to finish his races, therefore I can see him having too much for Time Test over this inadequate trip.

This is a big step up in class for Decorated Knight although he does look to have some promise and Tupi will need to improve again and be right at the top of his game to figure here and would prefer the ground to be firmer.

Cannock Chase is the likely favourite in this Listed race over a mile and a half and boasts consistent form in three Group 3 races this season. He will be tackling twelve furlongs for the first time and would certainly prefer it to be a little on the firmer side.

Wadi Al Hattawi won comfortably over a furlong further than this at Newmarket in his last race after going wrong and pulling up in the Ebor. He has won over twelve furlongs but to me appears that he is better over further.

Richard Hannon's Tashaar looks a really exciting three year old and was fourth in his latest outing in a Group 2 with the impressive Storm The Stars winning. He has won his other two starts and I fully expect him to make the most of his three year old allowance now dropping back in class. There should be plenty of improvement in this lightly raced colt and he looks the value play in this race.
