Morning, today we have a preview of the top race this week, Sandown’s Coral-Eclipse. There are eleven horses running and they are some of the best in the country, Aidan O’Brien has 5 runners in and the favourite is one of his.

1: The Gurkha; now there has been a lot written about this horse, betting peeked on him on Tuesday and yesterday his odds were evens with most book makers. Today he is fluctuating a little, with odds at Ladbrokes 10/11 but mostly he is still evens. He likes soft ground, at the moment Sandown is good to soft, but the wind is still picking up and if the showers hold off this could really suit him. Other entries for O’Brien are Cougar Mountain, Deauville, Bravery and Long Island Sound.

2: My Dream Boat; Clive Cox-trained, out of 14 starts he’s had 6 wins and 3 seconds, not to be sniffed at. His last race was at Ascot in mid-June where he won, he’s had a good rest so should be fresh for Saturday. Odds on him are 4/1 with Coral

3: Time Test; Roger Charlton-trained; he has 1 other entry Last time on the track was late May at Sandown, so he’s had a bit of a break too, he was ridden by Ryan Moore in that race, but I would think he will be riding for Aidan O’Brien Saturday, they have a winning partnership, I would put a small wager on him riding The Gurkha. Time Test should finish in the top three though. Odds on Time Test are 9/2 with SkyBet.

4: Western Hymn; John Gosden-trained and ridden by Frankie Dettori this weekend, rivalries will be tested again, Detorri against Moore and O’Brien vying to keep his stables winning streak going to try to gain the coveted trainers cup. Western Hymn is a real contender, on his last outing at ascot he only managed to place but Frankie and him are old buddies and if anyone can steer him to victory it will be Frankie Detorri. Odds on Western Hymn are a healthy 16/1 with Paddy Power.

5: Bravery; Another O’Brien horse, he will be vying for top three places for his horses this Saturday and Bravery has not had a first place yet, so he might just be ready to step up to the plate. Odds today on Bravery are 50/1 with Bet365, you might see that change dramatically by Saturday.

As ever, get your bets on early for these big races, to get the best prices and Good Luck.
