Thanks for the comments guys, its frustrating when people want winning days every day but i also understand that a lot of new members joined then we suddenly hit our worst spell for a long time. I have done the weekly totals, top picks did ok, still not back to best but we will get there as the weather/quality gets better. Ratings were doing ok but was let down on saturday and the value selections were down but 1 good day usually turns them around.
Now that that pesky snow has gone, (well it has here in Cambridgeshire), and February looming we can get back to normality.. horses are now beginning to get schooled and stables now have the opportunity to get ’em on the gallops etc etc, hopefully we can now get back to some decent racing with no more abandonments .
Any system making more than 15-20 points of profit a month on average over a 12 month period would be considered to be an excellent system by most tipster srvices. That equates to only 180-240 points profit a year (before fees). At last count I believe Dean’s tips (across the 3 sets of tips) runs at pushing 400 points in 5 months. Even if you take a percentage off for not being able to achieve the prices that Dean gets (I personally get fairly close), say 10-15% that is still above 300 points. In the very unlikely event that Dean didn’t make another profit for the next 7 months he would be ahead of most services! It takes patience and discipline to follow a system properly and reap the benefits. Good services are not get rich quick schemes, do they exist? Slowly, slowly catchy monkey! It is possible to make very good money using a service like Dean’s but it takes time to build and reserves are needed. Keep up the good work Dean, I echo Andy’s sentiment. Cheers.

Great day Dean!! I never doubted you. Well I dont post many things on this blog but a few days back people were all complains and worries and I said a bank is needed and the faith must be kept and now according to my records using the bet365 odds all the way for the toptips only we are only 3 points down for the month and we could very well end the month in proffit once again. The bottom line here is do not let emotions take over dont let the fear take over when there is a bad run and dont get carried away and rise your stakes when we hit a day like today. Just use a 100 points bank and level stakes and think long term and things will go the way they are supposed to. Good luck everyone

I cant promise them everyday at this time john but i will try, it depends on how many meetings there are. Andy its typical mate i advise no bets and we hit a bit of profit i cant win, as for bet butler they got back to me and said they werent aware of any technical problems that day,im not using them for the horses at the moment but they are handy for footy acca,s as you get the best odds from all the firms.

Dean you said in a previous post that you start placing your bets around 6.30,as i have work committments and have to leave the house at 7.45 every morning i cannot get to my computer until midday to place the bets on your selections,this mens i am getting nowhere near the best prices obtainable to maximise any profits.Is it possible that you can post the selections around 7.30 as i may have to cancel my subscription unfortunately due to the time your posts are on the site which does not suit my timescale.
Yes that’s right about 10am usually but dose post earlier sometimes but I don’t think I ever saw before 9.30am, I followed for about a year now and done quite well. Best thing is to use twitter as you will get a notification from him 5 mins before he posts on his page on the at the races website so then you can jump on the page and refresh it continually till it comes up, be quick to place the bet or the price dramatically comes down as I’m told a hell of a lot pile onto it at exactly the same time. Deans tips seem good, but there is a lot of risk if you follow all of them, but of the other hand could produce a few good winners. But you HAVE to expect loosing streaks. Sorry I’m expressing my thoughts here a bit as I’m pretty tired of reading comments from people that are on a loosing streak and I don’t think they really can afford to use this system, where as Hugh’s tips are a lot lower risk and have been going good for almost 4 years I think. Hope this will help a few people out. I’m sticking to deans tips as although I haven’t been a member for more than 2 weeks, I have been getting Jason’s emails with his few tips a day since September and watched it until January and realised its decent.
No luck with BetButler I take it?, I emailed them and they cam back with.. ‘sorry about that, what happened and we’ll do our best to put it right etc’ total pish in my opinion
Also if there are people following these tips that can’t really afford it, which is pretty clear, try following Hugh Taylor’s tips on at the races website, he picks just one or two horses every day and his record is clear for all to look up for over 3 years of tips, with only having about 5 loosing months in all that time. His useual return is about 20 to 30 points a month and he is very well respected.
If you’re staking high, in my opinion try using the “cover bet” in more markets on bet365 for the value picks. I wouldn’t bother with the shorter priced top picks as the odds are a slightly lower with this type of bet. It does help to try to recoup loses, but if you do win its a bit less than the normal odds.
I want to apologise for yesterday, any other day i would have said NO BETS but because we hadnt had much to go at recently i didnt so i am sorry. Today isnt much better so although the ratings and selections have been done i am advising we wait untill it gets a bit better.

Andy i have to start early to get all the selections done, some mornings i start placing bets at 6-30am I have accounts with most bookmakers and use oddschecker to get the best prices but betfair and bet 365 are the main ones used,i can assure you nothing is been hidden. Any member who has been with us longer than these last couple of weeks (the other Andy for example) will verify how much profit we have made
As one can see, the prices I got are a little different to Deans prices,however it really is swings & roundabouts, if one shops around the online bookies you really can get some decent prices.. early bird catches worm & all that?

Dean, there are a few questions that need answering. You say your results are at your early prices. Where do you get these prices, i have accounts at bet365, paddy power,stan james, ladbokes and betfair and most of the time prices are lower or unavailable at 8am, There are also alot of non runners after our bets are placed, do you take into consideration any rule 4 deductions? I am wondering at this stage if a loss is being hidden behind inflated odds. Please explain.
Andy they are to early advised prices. David you need to find some early prices if you can, i try to get them on here before 8am so most of the prices or close to them are still available, you will find it hard with any system to make profit betting at SP.
I think I will pass on these too specially if they are not toptips as such but I would like to follow the point system to the tee so dean if you can tell me if thse will go on the official records for toptips or not I will appreciate it.
We will just have to be patient and forget the horses until weather improves Dean. Every year there is days like these so why should be any different this year. We will get through it just keep the selections to a minimuum and be extra carefull. Im a big believer on quality over quantity

Hello All, I don’t usually put my ‘fourpenceworth’ into these blogs as I tend to ‘keep my own counsel’so to speak. However I felt I should contribute on this occasion. I have kept a ‘watching brief’ on Dean since around late August and his figures have been pretty good and verified as such. I am also a member of another service which is without doubt one of, if not THE most profitable service I have come across. I also have a very good system of ratings and a way of using them of my own and in defence of Dean, his selections have been very soundly based. My own system and the other very profitable system have numerous multiple picks of the same horses. Needless to say this amazing service that I mentioned earlier is having possibly the worst run of his life at the moment, makes Dean’s situation look reasonable actually!! Fortunately my own system dutches 3 horses where possible and covers more options, however the last 4 weeks have been a killer all round. Believe me the number of times over the last few weeks I have had my fingers crossed for a particular horse to come in (as it is a pick on all 3 systems) only to watch it come second is not funny. The only saving grace being that on some races I have still won on my own system or the other system selections, but overall it has been dire to say the least. The ‘form’ such as it is presently is not panning out but it will come good, it always has and always will. Sit tight, and frankly Dean’s advice about no betting days has been very fair. I won’t bore everybody about betting banks, I think it has all been said elsewhere. Onwards and upwards, my bets are on, lets stay possitive everybody.
I joined Deans service on the 23rd of November. I keep records of all my bets at betfair early prices and taking into account that they are best odds garanteed. I made in 7 days of november I made 47 points proffit. In december I made over 60 points and now January I am down about 32 points. This is a long game and you need to have a big bank to cope with bad runs. The weather is horrible at the moment so you may wanna lower your stakes for January and Febrary until things get back to normal but this service is definatelly worthed and you should stop moaning so much about it. No service no matter how good wins everyday all the time if you are not prepared to accept that you may as well stop betting all together.

I dont doubt dean’s service. At the end of the day its up to each individual if they want to take the advise and bet. I know the top picks havent been great however I have to tell in early december I used the top picks and was up significantly. Its a losing run, they happen. Its up to you whether you want to bet or not. You can still monitor the top picks until you feel that the losing run is over. I trust Dean and have no problem staying on as a new member.
Bob the worst bad run was at the begining of september when we started the service it was just short of 2 weeks and we recovered and ended up +14 points at the end of the month which isnt great by any stretch but it was a good recovery from where we were.
Dabber it isnt great once again, obviously the weather isnt helping things but if i said dont bet today everytime it was poor we would hardly bet at all some weeks and at the end of the day you guys have paid for me to find selections so i am betting today.
Another thing i just want to reasure you that i have not changed anything in the way i do the ratings i still spend between 10-12 hours a day compiling them it is simply just a bad run which we will come out of.

Yeah as a relatively new player who are trying very hard to get new customers they arent giving us much confidence at the moment but i will keep an eye on them. If we can get anywhere near the prices at 10am that we get between 7-8 it might be worth looking at if we factor in the cashback.

Hi guys ive done this weeks totals and we didnt start the week to bad especially tuesday for Top picks but it went downhill from there. ratings didnt have a bad week really and was only let down by a terrible friday. Values were up and down but thats the norm and they will bounce back as always,so all in all the worst week we have had since september which could have been a whole lot worse if it wasnt for the good day we had tuesday and i must say im glad to see the back of last week, looking forward to turning it around for a good profit next week.
Guys i completely understand your frustration im tearing my hair out at the moment, its the first losing run weve had since the beginging of september and i know that doesnt make it any better for members who have just joined but any system you use will have losing runs, ive seen it many times over the years but if you can stick with it long term this system has always and will continue to make good profits.
Frustrating…… Too early to judge the system as I am a newcomer and am sure it has been proved over the last few years. From a personal point of view have a case of da ja vu of when I come to join a service, and stayed with some for a couple of months and not just days, its advertised profits seem to halt completly(anyone else had this?). I must be a bad luck charm…..I will stick with it for now. Cant even drown my sorrows as vowed to lay off the lager through January for some strange reason!!!

Walter it is a bit better today, still not up to saturday standards but im betting today, saturdays have been very good for us recently so heres hoping we have a really good day. Dean has a system, where it’s worked out that these are the two best horses that has a chance to win the race, by ‘dutching’ i.e. making two separate bets, one on each to win in order to make a profit, for example..
12-50 Hun Elegant Olive 11/2 0.7 Gougane 12/1 0.3
The 12:50 at Huntingdon, Dean’s system has worked out that the best two horses that stand a chance to win the race are Elegant Olive at 11/2 & Gougane at 12/1, by splitting (dutching) your point, i.e. £100 (£70 on Red Mystique and £30 on Gougane) you end up in profit should one of them win, also to bear in mind is the reverse forecast.
Reverse Forecast means to place a bet on two horses to finish 1st & 2nd in either order, as these are the ‘Top 2 Rated’ it may be worthwhile for you to consider making a bet on the two to finish 1st & 2nd, (in either order).
If Dean puts ‘No Bet’ next to the two Horses then don’t bet on the two horses.

Another point to new members, we have had some really profitible weeks lately since september in fact and its sods law that we offer a free trial get lots of new members and we hit a sticky patch i just want to reassure you that these do happen now and again especially when the racing is so poor and it will turn around soon.
Andy i dont have the exact stats for the RFs but if you give me a couple of hours i will do results for december and see how the turn out. Azad as andy said it depends how much is available at the time.

With the ‘No Bets’ I generally put half a point (I back half a point each horse anyway) on the outsider of the two, which seems to work well. For instance today I’ve had Miss Conduct and Mystical Sapphire, among some losers obviously.
Have any of you guys tried the system backing each way? On average how many good days a week or month do we need to pull away from our starting banks. I’m not knocking or questioning Deans tips just as a newcomer looking for guidance. Phil
Guys another angle i meant to mention a while ago and forgot is the reverse forecast on the no bets from the ratings, they are usually no bets because one or more is too short to dutch but the RF works very well on these selections and is defo worth keeping an eye on. No, I’m just a regular punter like yourself, been using ‘Deans System’ for 2 months, to put you in the picture I got a hefty return last month when I bet on a photo finish at Lingfield and got 235/1 @ £10 on Betfair, I backed the second place and it won because of interference caused by the winner :), had another lucky 3 way dutched bet £100 @ 9/1, so has put me in good stead be betting bank wise.. I have been lucky though it has to be said

Good morning, David i put the firm and time next to a selection if the price is significantly better with that firm than antwhere else and yes commission is taken into account when results are done. I managed to get Buckie Boy priced at 9/1, pretty sure Dean got 12/1 at Betfair’s BSP price?, that’s projected odds.. they ‘balance’ the exchange price at the time of placing the bet against the SP, I think they average it out?
Where did you get 12/1 on Buckie Boy? It opened at 9/1 drifted to 11/1 around 10:30 but has now been smashed into 6/1. I’ve noticed a lot of your selections are higher priced than they actually are.
Hi, logged onto the tips at 7.50 this morning then shooted to my bet365 account to try and get the top picks on before the school run, work etc to find their prices were not yet up.As I dont have time to shop around would you advise getting on with betfair in a morning. Hi Eamon thanks for the positives, if people can afford 3 seperate banks then thats defo the way to go. The 100 point bank is advised simply for the inevitable losing run at some point which you will no doubt understand happens no matter what system you are using. As for strike rate it has averaged out at just over 30% on top picks and around 44% on ratings, the values are a relatively new system but i expect the SR is quite a bit lower due to the higher priced selections. The other stats i dont have at the moment simply down to time, all my waking hours are spent doing the ratings but if anyone wants to volunteer to keep track of them and maybee post them weekly then please feel free.

Hi Dean – after so many places but not wins yesterday on the Top Picks, wonder if an 80/20 staking system would work better – i.e 80% stake on the place, and 20 % on the win ?

I must say that I’ve been mightily impressed so far and that’s saying something as I’ve been around the betting block for a while. I was a bit apprehensive at first with the amount of selections because you essentially have 3 separate systems – the top ratings, value and top picks.
Rather than deciding on which one to follow and see the results of the one I didn’t choose to follow do well, I’ve set up three separate banks to cater for these. That way if one falters, like yesterday’s Top picks, the Value selections or the Top ratings will hopefully counter balance things in a portfolio-way.
I’m well up in the last 4 days overall and have signed up for the longer term as my subs are more than covered for 6 months!
Do you have your SR, ave odds, longest losing/win run details for each of the systems to work out what size of bank I should be using because feel that 100pts each is probably too high, esp for the top ratings which have a decent SR.
I use Betfair mainly because of bookmaker restrictions and am mainly loathe to take the early price on betfair but looking at the results this week it appears that taking the early price on a lot of them would have been better with the exception of Lord of The House yesterday.

When there are no tips, I revert to GG.com Top Tips or Race Predictor at Paddypower.com supplied by the Racing Post free. Sundays can be quite good. I always back E/W in groupes of 3 or 4 and place multiple Doubles. I did this on day 1 of free tips and made £117 for the £1 for the double. Give it a try, it works for me.

Andy its just the ratings mate you can obviously see what the top 2 rated would be but there are no top picks or values, yeah it defo was a slog yesterday and you will be fine sticking with top picks, we get days like that where nothing wants to win but long term top picks will always make good profits but the values are certainy making me sit up and pay attention, for over 4 years ive only ever backed the ratings but im seriously thinking of setting up another 100 point bank for the values.
Stephen its not advisable to back at sp no matter what system you are using with value selections probably being the exception, i try and get the selections on here as early as possible so you guys can get the best prices, you can also have them emailed to you to pick up on your phone if its difficult to get on site.
Phillip in the past we found sunday racing to be very rarely profitable so we dont advise any bets now.
Going to stay with the Top Picks personally, can’t see with after the last quarters results the form going downhill that rapidly, just a blip – quite confident with say8ng that.. just look at Friday’s results?, actually watched all the races involved yesterday and apart from the all weather tracks, the turf racing was a right slog here & there, tomorrow’s another day eh? 🙂
Good morning guys, after yesterday i was ready to report the first losing week on top picks since the start of september but after doing the stats fridays good results actually saved us and we made a massive 1pt profit, i know we dont all get the same prices so for some it will be a loss making week but looking at the quality of racing last week and considering the good times weve had recently i was sort of expecting a bad week sometime soon. On the brighter side ratings made steady profit and once again the value selections were outstanding with over 54 points profit in 4 days racing, if it keeps going like that it will take over as number 1 from top picks.

You say you “put £1 on all top tips and was down £6” … now, just to clarify … was that each of the 7 top tips on Thursday (03/01/2013) or was it each of the 10 top tips on Friday (04/01/2013)?
Personally I only bet on the Top Picks, and use 1% level stakes on each bet, i.e. if I have a betting bank of £1000 I bet £10 per bet level stakes, when I reach £1500 I revise, say go up to £15, just go with what you’re comfortable with.
Having said that the values do bring in some cracking profits.

Hi David we only started the value selections mid november and they were only available by email until last week but yes they are done every day, as for betting abroad ive used ladbrokes and many more in the past without any problems.

Two of Deans Top Picks for that day resulted in a 168/1 double, I didn’t back it myself but I think Dean did, from memory I it was the first & third selection on the day, search December for the selections? 🙂

Hi i am a new member was this a double advised by Dean or two put together yourself.
I understand there are quite a few new members so i will just outline the 3 parts of the system.
The ratings selections are the top 2 rated horses from my own ratings which are dutched to 1 point, this is the original system and the 1 i stil use. The Top picks came about because betting every race in the ratings is just too much for most people so these are the top 6-12 best bets of the day all 1pt wins. Then we have the value selections these tend to be higher priced selections but there is often crossover with Top picks but just treat them individually if you are using both systems, these are also advised as 1pt win bets but you can bet to place if you wish, as they are higher odds selections these can have frequent losing runs but the winning days defo make up for them and at the moment it is the most profitible of the 3
A 100 point starting bank is advised whichever system you decide to follow. If you are just starting out and only want to bet 1 set of selections then stick to the Top picks, long term they have always been profitible.
I think Dean would advocate to treat each system in it’s own right, for example I look at just the Top Picks, I only bet the horses in Deans Top Picks System & nothing else, I don’t bet the ‘Top 2 Rated’ or the ‘Value Selections’, I don’t even look at them.. for me the Top Picks work out the best £ per point, each to their own I guess 🙂
Ok i think Andy has most things covered, as for betting bank i would recommend a 100 point starting bank. Richard the ratings system selections are dutched to 1pt, the top picks and values are straight 1pt win bets but you can bet ew/place on the values if you wish.
Paul always bet 1% of your bank, as for losing runs they do happen and cant really be predicted but long term we are always in profit, the ratings did have 1 losing month last year but top picks has been in profit every month. Brian 100 point bank for each. Azad 99.9% of the time your bet will get matched if it doesnt then take nearest odds.

But some time they only take match bet what about the unmatched for example if I bet on £50 on selection £25 say 10/1 what about the rest shall I just put bsp or nearest odds ? Is there a section anywhere on this site that offers some kind of a clue? Richard No bet usually means from the 2 horses that are tipped one price is so short that there is no value in the bet so don’t put any money on that is my way of reading it. Cheers John

Thanks for the comments guys, its frustrating when people want winning days every day but i also understand that a lot of new members joined then we suddenly hit our worst spell for a long time. I have done the weekly totals, top picks did ok, still not back to best but we will get there as the weather/quality gets better. Ratings were doing ok but was let down on saturday and the value selections were down but 1 good day usually turns them around.

Now that that pesky snow has gone, (well it has here in Cambridgeshire), and February looming we can get back to normality.. horses are now beginning to get schooled and stables now have the opportunity to get ’em on the gallops etc etc, hopefully we can now get back to some decent racing with no more abandonments .

Any system making more than 15-20 points of profit a month on average over a 12 month period would be considered to be an excellent system by most tipster srvices. That equates to only 180-240 points profit a year (before fees). At last count I believe Dean’s tips (across the 3 sets of tips) runs at pushing 400 points in 5 months. Even if you take a percentage off for not being able to achieve the prices that Dean gets (I personally get fairly close), say 10-15% that is still above 300 points. In the very unlikely event that Dean didn’t make another profit for the next 7 months he would be ahead of most services! It takes patience and discipline to follow a system properly and reap the benefits. Good services are not get rich quick schemes, do they exist? Slowly, slowly catchy monkey! It is possible to make very good money using a service like Dean’s but it takes time to build and reserves are needed. Keep up the good work Dean, I echo Andy’s sentiment. Cheers.

Well I dont post many things on this blog but a few days back people were all complains and worries and I said a bank is needed and the faith must be kept and now according to my records using the bet365 odds all the way for the toptips only we are only 3 points down for the month and we could very well end the month in proffit once again. The bottom line here is do not let emotions take over dont let the fear take over when there is a bad run and dont get carried away and rise your stakes when we hit a day like today. Just use a 100 points bank and level stakes and think long term and things will go the way they are supposed to.

Dean you said in a previous post that you start placing your bets around 6.30,as i have work committments and have to leave the house at 7.45 every morning i cannot get to my computer until midday to place the bets on your selections,this mens i am getting nowhere near the best prices obtainable to maximise any profits.Is it possible that you can post the selections around 7.30 as i may have to cancel my subscription unfortunately due to the time your posts are on the site which does not suit my timescale.
Right, gone for it with the 8 top picks, be sods law if I didnt that it could be a good day, however we were warned so cant grumble if its not.
Yes that’s right about 10am usually but dose post earlier sometimes but I don’t think I ever saw before 9.30am, I followed for about a year now and done quite well. Best thing is to use twitter as you will get a notification from him 5 mins before he posts on his page on the at the races website so then you can jump on the page and refresh it continually till it comes up, be quick to place the bet or the price dramatically comes down as I’m told a hell of a lot pile onto it at exactly the same time. Deans tips seem good, but there is a lot of risk if you follow all of them, but of the other hand could produce a few good winners. But you HAVE to expect loosing streaks. Sorry I’m expressing my thoughts here a bit as I’m pretty tired of reading comments from people that are on a loosing streak and I don’t think they really can afford to use this system, where as Hugh’s tips are a lot lower risk and have been going good for almost 4 years I think. Hope this will help a few people out. I’m sticking to deans tips as although I haven’t been a member for more than 2 weeks, I have been getting Jason’s emails with his few tips a day since September and watched it until January and realised its decent.

Like it Mike.. like it, had a tickle on today, looked at what’s Deans worked out today and actually have a good feeling about it
Also if there are people following these tips that can’t really afford it, which is pretty clear, try following Hugh Taylor’s tips on at the races website, he picks just one or two horses every day and his record is clear for all to look up for over 3 years of tips, with only having about 5 loosing months in all that time. His useual return is about 20 to 30 points a month and he is very well respected.
So are todays figures being counted in the official results?
If you’re staking high, in my opinion try using the “cover bet” in more markets on bet365 for the value picks. I wouldn’t bother with the shorter priced top picks as the odds are a slightly lower with this type of bet. It does help to try to recoup loses, but if you do win its a bit less than the normal odds.

Andy i have to start early to get all the selections done, some mornings i start placing bets at 6-30am I have accounts with most bookmakers and use oddschecker to get the best prices but betfair and bet 365 are the main ones used,i can assure you nothing is been hidden. I know its not always possible to get the same prices but its not my prices that are ultimately important, its the prices you guys get and if they are profitible. The last 2 weeks they probably werent, but that is an exception and you would normally be well in profit. Any member who has been with us longer than these last couple of weeks (the other Andy for example) will verify how much profit we have made

there are a few questions that need answering.
You say your results are at your early prices.
Where do you get these prices, i have accounts at bet365, paddy power,stan james, ladbokes and betfair and most of the time prices are lower or unavailable at 8am,
There are also alot of non runners after our bets are placed, do you take into consideration any rule 4 deductions?
I am wondering at this stage if a loss is being hidden behind inflated odds. Please explain.

David you need to find some early prices if you can, i try to get them on here before 8am so most of the prices or close to them are still available, you will find it hard with any system to make profit betting at SP.

Hello All, I don’t usually put my ‘fourpenceworth’ into these blogs as I tend to ‘keep my own counsel’so to speak. However I felt I should contribute on this occasion. I have kept a ‘watching brief’ on Dean since around late August and his figures have been pretty good and verified as such. I am also a member of another service which is without doubt one of, if not THE most profitable service I have come across. I also have a very good system of ratings and a way of using them of my own and in defence of Dean, his selections have been very soundly based. My own system and the other very profitable system have numerous multiple picks of the same horses. Needless to say this amazing service that I mentioned earlier is having possibly the worst run of his life at the moment, makes Dean’s situation look reasonable actually!! Fortunately my own system dutches 3 horses where possible and covers more options, however the last 4 weeks have been a killer all round. Believe me the number of times over the last few weeks I have had my fingers crossed for a particular horse to come in (as it is a pick on all 3 systems) only to watch it come second is not funny. The only saving grace being that on some races I have still won on my own system or the other system selections, but overall it has been dire to say the least. The ‘form’ such as it is presently is not panning out but it will come good, it always has and always will. Sit tight, and frankly Dean’s advice about no betting days has been very fair. I won’t bore everybody about betting banks, I think it has all been said elsewhere. Onwards and upwards, my bets are on, lets stay possitive everybody.

I joined Deans service on the 23rd of November. I keep records of all my bets at betfair early prices and taking into account that they are best odds garanteed. I made in 7 days of november I made 47 points proffit. In december I made over 60 points and now January I am down about 32 points. This is a long game and you need to have a big bank to cope with bad runs. The weather is horrible at the moment so you may wanna lower your stakes for January and Febrary until things get back to normal but this service is definatelly worthed and you should stop moaning so much about it. I dont doubt dean’s service. At the end of the day its up to each individual if they want to take the advise and bet. I know the top picks havent been great however I have to tell in early december I used the top picks and was up significantly. Its a losing run, they happen. Its up to you whether you want to bet or not. You can still monitor the top picks until you feel that the losing run is over. I trust Dean and have no problem staying on as a new member.

Bob the worst bad run was at the begining of september when we started the service it was just short of 2 weeks and we recovered and ended up +14 points at the end of the month which isnt great by any stretch but it was a good recovery from where we were.
Dabber it isnt great once again, obviously the weather isnt helping things but if i said dont bet today everytime it was poor we would hardly bet at all some weeks and at the end of the day you guys have paid for me to find selections so i am betting today.

Another thing i just want to reasure you that i have not changed anything in the way i do the ratings i still spend between 10-12 hours a day compiling them it is simply just a bad run which we will come out of.
Good morning guys, once again i understand your frustation and disapointment, its very unfortunate that we hit this run when a lot of new members joined but as i have said before these runs happen with any system and i know its hard to take but it has happened before and no doubt it will happen again but we do recover from it and get back in profit.

Hi guys ive done this weeks totals and we didnt start the week to bad especially tuesday for Top picks but it went downhill from there. ratings didnt have a bad week really and was only let down by a terrible friday. Values were up and down but thats the norm and they will bounce back as always,so all in all the worst week we have had since september which could have been a whole lot worse if it wasnt for the good day we had tuesday and i must say im glad to see the back of last week, looking forward to turning it around for a good profit next week.

Guys i completely understand your frustration im tearing my hair out at the moment, its the first losing run weve had since the beginging of september and i know that doesnt make it any better for members who have just joined but any system you use will have losing runs, ive seen it many times over the years but if you can stick with it long term this system has always and will continue to make good profits.

Too early to judge the system as I am a newcomer and am sure it has been proved over the last few years.
From a personal point of view have a case of da ja vu of when I come to join a service, and stayed with some for a couple of months and not just days, its advertised profits seem to halt completly(anyone else had this?).
I must be a bad luck charm…..I will stick with it for now.

Thanks for answering Andy, regarding the tough week, it happens with any system, we have been going so well since the begining of september its sods law that we have a lot of new members and have a bad week but ive seen it many times over the 4 years ive been doing this and we always turn it around and end up in profit. Not that im looking for excuses but the quality of racing the past couple of weeks hasnt helped either.

With regards the ‘No Bet’ on the ‘Top 2 rated’..
Dean has a system, where it’s worked out that these are the two best horses that has a chance to win the race, by ‘dutching’ i.e. making two separate bets, one on each to win in order to make a profit, for example..
12-50 Hun Elegant Olive 11/2 0.7
Gougane 12/1 0.3
The 12:50 at Huntingdon, Dean’s system has worked out that the best two horses that stand a chance to win the race are Elegant Olive at 11/2 & Gougane at 12/1, by splitting (dutching) your point, i.e. £100 (£70 on Red Mystique and £30 on Gougane) you end up in profit should one of them win, also to bear in mind is the reverse forecast.
Reverse Forecast means to place a bet on two horses to finish 1st & 2nd in either order, as these are the ‘Top 2 Rated’ it may be worthwhile for you to consider making a bet on the two to finish 1st & 2nd, (in either order).
If Dean puts ‘No Bet’ next to the two Horses then don’t bet on the two horses.

Ok guys especially new members can you please leave your emails on here at some point, the site has been hacked a couple of times and we dont want a repeat of wednesday when it was very difficult to get in contact with some members.

With the ‘No Bets’ I generally put half a point (I back half a point each horse anyway) on the outsider of the two, which seems to work well. For instance today I’ve had Miss Conduct and Mystical Sapphire, among some losers obviously.
Have any of you guys tried the system backing each way? On average how many good days a week or month do we need to pull away from our starting banks. I’m not knocking or questioning Deans tips just as a newcomer looking for guidance.

Guys another angle i meant to mention a while ago and forgot is the reverse forecast on the no bets from the ratings, they are usually no bets because one or more is too short to dutch but the RF works very well on these selections and is defo worth keeping an eye on. As i write this miss conduct has just beat cockney sparrow.

No, I’m just a regular punter like yourself, been using ‘Deans System’ for 2 months, to put you in the picture I got a hefty return last month when I bet on a photo finish at Lingfield and got 235/1 @ £10 on Betfair, I backed the second place and it won because of interference caused by the winner :), had another lucky 3 way dutched bet £100 @ 9/1, so has put me in good stead be betting bank wise.. I managed to get Buckie Boy priced at 9/1, pretty sure Dean got 12/1 at Betfair’s BSP price?, that’s projected odds.. they ‘balance’ the exchange price at the time of placing the bet against the SP, I think they average it out?
Where did you get 12/1 on Buckie Boy? It opened at 9/1 drifted to 11/1 around 10:30 but has now been smashed into 6/1. I’ve noticed a lot of your selections are higher priced than they actually are.

Hi Eamon thanks for the positives, if people can afford 3 seperate banks then thats defo the way to go. The 100 point bank is advised simply for the inevitable losing run at some point which you will no doubt understand happens no matter what system you are using.
As for strike rate it has averaged out at just over 30% on top picks and around 44% on ratings, the values are a relatively new system but i expect the SR is quite a bit lower due to the higher priced selections. The other stats i dont have at the moment simply down to time, all my waking hours are spent doing the ratings but if anyone wants to volunteer to keep track of them and maybee post them weekly then please feel free.
Paul no you w2ont need to give your address every week its just a bit hectic this week because of the free trial i didnt want to add loads of emails to the list only to remove them in a few days, once the free trial is over next week you can all post and let me know what selections/ratings you would like to recieve via email.

Have noticed recently that top and value same selection have produced a good few winners,i have been putting them in doubles and trebles and made a nice profit,might be worth monitoring future selections.

I must say that I’ve been mightily impressed so far and that’s saying something as I’ve been around the betting block for a while. I was a bit apprehensive at first with the amount of selections because you essentially have 3 separate systems – the top ratings, value and top picks.
Rather than deciding on which one to follow and see the results of the one I didn’t choose to follow do well, I’ve set up three separate banks to cater for these. That way if one falters, like yesterday’s Top picks, the Value selections or the Top ratings will hopefully counter balance things in a portfolio-way.
I’m well up in the last 4 days overall and have signed up for the longer term as my subs are more than covered for 6 months!
Do you have your SR, ave odds, longest losing/win run details for each of the systems to work out what size of bank I should be using because feel that 100pts each is probably too high, esp for the top ratings which have a decent SR.
I use Betfair mainly because of bookmaker restrictions and am mainly loathe to take the early price on betfair but looking at the results this week it appears that taking the early price on a lot of them would have been better with the exception of Lord of The House yesterday.
Anyway, good luck with these and I wish you well (because if you’re winning…I’m winning!).

When there are no tips, I revert to GG.com Top Tips or Race Predictor at Paddypower.com supplied by the Racing Post free. Sundays can be quite good.
I always back E/W in groupes of 3 or 4 and place multiple Doubles. I did this on day 1 of free tips and made £117 for the £1 for the double. Give it a try, it works for me.

Andy its just the ratings mate you can obviously see what the top 2 rated would be but there are no top picks or values, yeah it defo was a slog yesterday and you will be fine sticking with top picks, we get days like that where nothing wants to win but long term top picks will always make good profits but the values are certainy making me sit up and pay attention, for over 4 years ive only ever backed the ratings but im seriously thinking of setting up another 100 point bank for the values.
Stephen its not advisable to back at sp no matter what system you are using with value selections probably being the exception, i try and get the selections on here as early as possible so you guys can get the best prices, you can also have them emailed to you to pick up on your phone if its difficult to get on site.
Phillip in the past we found sunday racing to be very rarely profitable so we dont advise any bets now.

Going to stay with the Top Picks personally, can’t see with after the last quarters results the form going downhill that rapidly, just a blip – quite confident with say8ng that.. just look at Friday’s results?, actually watched all the races involved yesterday and apart from the all weather tracks, the turf racing was a right slog here & there, tomorrow’s another day eh? 🙂
Could you give your results using s.p. as well to see how this fares with early prices. Some times I cannot get on early due to my job commitments.

Good morning guys, after yesterday i was ready to report the first losing week on top picks since the start of september but after doing the stats fridays good results actually saved us and we made a massive 1pt profit, i know we dont all get the same prices so for some it will be a loss making week but looking at the quality of racing last week and considering the good times weve had recently i was sort of expecting a bad week sometime soon. On the brighter side ratings made steady profit and once again the value selections were outstanding with over 54 points profit in 4 days racing, if it keeps going like that it will take over as number 1 from top picks.

Andy – I think ‘Across the Bay’ is listed on both cards but is a non runner in the 3:40 at Sandown. So it should be in the 3:20!

You say you “put £1 on all top tips and was down £6” … now, just to clarify … was that each of the 7 top tips on Thursday (03/01/2013) or was it each of the 10 top tips on Friday (04/01/2013)?

Personally I only bet on the Top Picks, and use 1% level stakes on each bet, i.e. if I have a betting bank of £1000 I bet £10 per bet level stakes, when I reach £1500 I revise, say go up to £15, just go with what you’re comfortable with.
Having said that the values do bring in some cracking profits.

Two of Deans Top Picks for that day resulted in a 168/1 double, I didn’t back it myself but I think Dean did, from memory I it was the first & third selection on the day, search December for the selections? 🙂

betfair is a joke,backed murcar at far shorter price than sp but still apply a rule 4 to bet??
I understand there are quite a few new members so i will just outline the 3 parts of the system.
The ratings selections are the top 2 rated horses from my own ratings which are dutched to 1 point, this is the original system and the 1 i stil use.
The Top picks came about because betting every race in the ratings is just too much for most people so these are the top 6-12 best bets of the day all 1pt wins.
Then we have the value selections these tend to be higher priced selections but there is often crossover with Top picks but just treat them individually if you are using both systems, these are also advised as 1pt win bets but you can bet to place if you wish, as they are higher odds selections these can have frequent losing runs but the winning days defo make up for them and at the moment it is the most profitible of the 3
A 100 point starting bank is advised whichever system you decide to follow.
If you are just starting out and only want to bet 1 set of selections then stick to the Top picks, long term they have always been profitible.

I think Dean would advocate to treat each system in it’s own right, for example I look at just the Top Picks, I only bet the horses in Deans Top Picks System & nothing else, I don’t bet the ‘Top 2 Rated’ or the ‘Value Selections’, I don’t even look at them.. for me the Top Picks work out the best £ per point, each to their own I guess 🙂

as for betting bank i would recommend a 100 point starting bank.
Richard the ratings system selections are dutched to 1pt, the top picks and values are straight 1pt win bets but you can bet ew/place on the values if you wish.
Paul always bet 1% of your bank, as for losing runs they do happen and cant really be predicted but long term we are always in profit, the ratings did have 1 losing month last year but top picks has been in profit every month.
Brian 100 point bank for each.
Azad 99.9% of the time your bet will get matched if it doesnt then take nearest odds.

But some time they only take match bet what about the unmatched for example if I bet on £50 on selection £25 say 10/1 what about the rest shall I just put bsp or nearest odds ? Is there a section anywhere on this site that offers some kind of a clue? It can’t really be just a scatter-gun approach surely as how on earth can the results stack up – we’re talking 100’s of points profit over the past few months but I just don’t get it I’m afraid. Could someone try and explain how this is supposed to work. Many thanks. Rob

What bank is required if you are betting on the ratings, top picks and values. Is it better to bet straight win bets for all of the advised horses.

and if there’s no value in either horse winning then it’s a no bet, so don’t bet, there’s always tomorrow, don’t chase your losses 🙂
With regards the ‘No Bet’ on the ‘Top 2 rated’..
Dean has a system, where it’s worked out that these are the two best horses that has a chance to win the race, by ‘dutching’ i.e. making two separate bets, one on each to win in order to make a profit, for example..
The 5:50 at Kempton, Dean’s system has worked out that the best two horses that stand a chance to win the race are Red Mystique at 8/1 & If I Had Him at 4/1, by splitting (dutching) your point, i.e. £100 (£40 on Red Mystique) and £60 on If I Had Him you end up in profit should one of them win, also to bear in mind is the reverse forecast.
Reverse Forecast means to place a bet on two horses to finish 1st & 2nd in either order, as these are the ‘Top 2 Rated’ it may be worthwhile for you to consider making a bet on the two to finish 1st & 2nd, (in either order).

.. also I will say that should we suffer a bad days results, don’t worry because when Dean gets it right, boy does he get it right, we had a 168/1 win double recently

Personally I use 1% of my betting bank, i.e. if I’m betting £10 per point I would expect to have a betting bank of £1000, with regards to losing runs I can’t really comment as I’m only a punter, you’ll have to rely on Dean to answer that..

Richard No bet usually means from the 2 horses that are tipped one price is so short that there is no value in the bet so don’t put any money on that is my way of reading it. Cheers John
