Don’t give up Leo , I enjoy your tips I just do them a bit different, if you do a six fold I put I put it down as 6×5 folds then you can afford a loser. Hi everyone.
I have come to the end of the four week paper trade on the low raters.
Here are the results –
Week 1 – 19 stakes – £477 profit
Week 2 – 23 stakes – £142.50 loss
Week 3 – 20 stakes – £490.00 profit
Week 4 – 17 stakes – £115.00 profit
Overall – over the four weeks a paper profit of £939.50 to £10 win stakes.
Over the period there have been a lot of placers with decent odds and so there is scope for some further value in placing. Figures notes are without Saturdays as they have not returned any profit.
Just to recap – sorry if you have already read this –
I have been looking at the lowest rated horses (according to At The Races site) as I had noticed a recurring pattern of low rated horses winning / placing over jumps on heavy conditions. Started a paper exercise on Wednesday 05/02/2014 to £10.00 stakes.
Rules applied to start off –
Going has to be heavy
Pick lowest rated horse
No picks where all the runners are not rated
No races with odds on favourites
Slight addition to the above –
If there is a huge gap in ratings between top and bottom horses go with the second lowest.
Any thoughts and or your own opinions would be welcome.
Avoid Saturday race cards – bombed out a couple of times.
There’s no system other than low raters win a lot more on heavy ground.
I have tried on soft over the period – not as good but some decent e/w placers
Good – try to avoid – no winners yet.
If anyone has followed this then I hope it has been of use to you.
However, as the ground will be beginning to improve, I will place this on the back burner till after the flat season.
hi james you had some nice winners , think we need a good system for the flat ,I have a few 4 day rule if a horse runs within the four day back it flat and jumps think glastonbery did it other day missed it ,always worth a look ,and 2yo races if price is less than 2/1 lay it quiet a few get beat good luck
