Martin in answer to your enquirey I worked out the returns purely on a Win bet 1st Selection and an EW bet 2nd Selection. I have been paper trading this system for a while now we have had losses but a good day can outshine a bad day Hope this helps

I have just checked what his returns were if he had done the selections on the 10th October It makes interesting results eg to a £10.00 Stake.
Win Bets 17x£10 = £170. 00.Returns £167.84
EW Bets 16X£20 = £320. 00.Returns £747.61
Totals £490.00 £915.45
A Nice profit of £425.45
Not a bad days work

Has anyone got the P&L figures for the speed ratings. I know it started off poorly but it looks like it’s had a few decent winners recently so it would be good to know what the drawdown, profit/loss, SR etc is like, as I for one, have not been following these and can’t do so with any confidence until I know this.
Cracking site and free tips are always welcome. Everyone can decide whether to place them or not but running P/L is very useful.

There is a lot of money to be had over there for the trainers/jocks and owners,. There is so much of that missing over here ( why ??? ). Its O.K. for high priced football owners to lose a race on £500,000 a week pay!!! what do they care( IM NOT BITTER HONEST!!!)
I know this industry would not work without the prise money, but it is getting less and less every year or should i say spread out over even more insignificant and irrelevant race events.
As much as we like high class events every day. The only winner is the bookmakers who sponsor the event. the change has not affected any big event or my stats over the years or the prise money laid out. unlike other big events abroad where the money just keeps on getting bigger???
That made me think? What will pound land. One of the high street biggest successes, in this recession do in ten years time???

I was disappointed to see no response to your question.
1!!!! never use money you could not afford to lose?!
2 If you have got it start a betting bank and use all starting free bets ( try sky bet/ no deposit needed and a free £10 FREE / FREE/ FREE/ use it
3 (this is what i did on here) always take 1/20 of your bank to bet on every horse. This is easier than it sounds. as you (in a perfect world would re adjust after every bet and take 1/20th win/lose. Sounds simple but in practise we miss early high prices and only have BOG when you can get them.
The good point is you always have 19 bets to go at and i have only ever had 6 losers in a row??? so the bank makes sence.
3 I have many systems and this rule works well. I do spend many hours on my selections (more than a day job. But i do love doing it)
ALL BETS: are win bets/(place only,this is a whole new system. caution needed. Each way if the price is right. 4-1 OR 5-1 depending on race( to get your stake back) and ( this is down to you, but i love my rev forecast on this site as it has covered every win bet on this site. Trebs are difficult but have paid off ( thanks johnnyd (lol).But i think i will stick to my trixie’s.

Its obvious that the people making derogatory comments are narrow minded and selfish. What they obviously dont understand is selecting winners is not an exact science, there are lots of variables to take into consideration, the recent wet weather for instance. Anyway, if you were 100% right 100% of the time I suspect you would be sitting on a yacht somewhere nice and warm sipping cold champagne, and not posting tips on this site! Keep up the good work, along with the other regular posters on the site, i’m finding the tips useful as i’m fairly new to the horses. Who knows, one day everything will click into place and we’ll all be buying yachts together!!
Morning Jason, There’s a good saying that people should remember, “its better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open ones mouth and have it confirmed”. The people giving you stick should try to understand that saying.
We all have a bad patch, as you know, I post selections everyday and we can’t win all the time. The thing is that we try, we give tips, which is more than the people who are whinging are doing.

With a Trixie you could do for example £10 E.W on the treble and then three £9 place doubles, this would then be £47 as opposed to £80 for all £10 E.W. What you have to bear in mind though is if they all win you will only be paid for places on the doubles. Hello Oneman, it doesn’t have to be Betfred, all bookies should take the bet. Just do the one e.w, this is the biggest bet, then do the rest place only bets, but make sure they are less than the main bet.
Another bet that they don’t like is a Reverse Forecast Yankee, my friend does one every day. He does a 2p one, it comes to less than £2, I think it’s £1.88, week before last he got one in and it paid £738.
I some times do a R/F treble. The bookies won’t let you do a R/F fourfold. This bet can pay a lot of money for a small outlay, write the bet like this:

I do not have a local shop or quite sure ( understand) why the bet has to be less? This sounds too good to be true! I guess its all down to terms and conditions??? If it’s true then there is value to be had. I like my e/w Trixie’s ( when i can get them) and the bookies hate this bet as well. Just got banned from StanJames for a very modest account less than £5000 win bank after less than £100 input.It seems to be a betting pattern rather than a win streak or profit.

What are the results laying the last couple in ratings?
I have been keeping a track of results since the 3rd of Sept, in different categories. I use Bet365 at around 1030 am, and when you use them you get the higher price if the horse drifts. So for my calculations, I use a £10 stake, and the bet365 odds at 1030 or higher odds if it drifts. Any horse over 6/1 is each way bet.
My results so far are ;
Top rated horse only – a loss of £157
Second rated only – a loss of £226
Lowest odds at 1030 – a gain of £30
Highest odds at 1030 – a loss of £403.

Thanks Alex, appreciated. I don’t think I’d be able to fit the full ratings on here, and it would take up a lot of time. Some races just don’t work out good enough so I leave them out.
I will do the p/l at BFSP but it will be ready in Sunday.
Is it possible for the full speed ratings to be posted – or mailed ?
So far are going well so assuming they are profitable there definitely be other good ways to profit from them than just betting at top two.

If you do results do it to betfair sp aswell and i wonder what the results would be with the tips that get emailed each day. i have a feeling the place bet is not as profitable as the win could be wrong. i need to get organised
Eamom, yes we do need to start working out the P/L. When I started the speed ratings I wasn’t sure which way to go with them, is it best to just back the top rated horse, back both, or back some each way? This is something we need to look at. I am really struggling for time at the minute, I will of course continue to post them and the results each day, but if there is somebody on here that is willing to calculate the profits then that would be much appreciated. Then we can see what the best angle to take with these ratings.

Any idea on the current P&L and % win SR is with the speed ratings selections?
A daily tally to BSP would be useful. Something along the lines:
Daily P & L = +/- xpts
Running total = +/- xpts
Looking at the tread on 6th there were 17 losers and 18.5 pts profit so a small profit on that day and on 10th a cracking day with +17pts? Am I reading this right?

Hi Pat we were plagued with 2nds today aswell (10 i think) but still managed 8 points profit and we had meandmyshadow at 12/1 on top picks wich saved us as we had 4 2nds on there.
Well that was a strange day and rather unlucky, 5 non-runners, 5 2nd’s and 3 3rd places. At least 3 looked certain winners approaching the finish, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

I have always found Ffoss Llass a difficult track to pick winners so i don’t bet there.The going varies almost every meeting, form from there doesn’t translate well to other tracks and the Welsh trainers seem to play the “whose turn is it to win today” game..So good luck with the selections
