Arsenal face Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with both sides looking to return to winning ways.

The Gunners come into this match on the back of a 4-0 drubbing away against Liverpool.

Liverpool extended Arsenal's winless run away from home to 13 matches, in a humiliating afternoon at Anfield.

Roberto Firmino opened the scoring for Liverpool (17), with the Brazillian heading home a perfect cross from Joe Gomez.

Sadio Mane made it 2-0 just before the break (40), curling a brilliant low shot past Cech to double their advantage.

Mohammed Salah continued his fine start for Liverpool (57), scoring past Cech after dispossessing Bellerin on the halfway line.

Daniel Sturridge completed the scoring for the Reds, with the fourth goal coming with thirteen minutes to go (77).

Success Needed

Arsenal have had a tough start to the season, with the 4-3 thriller against Leicester and back to back defeats now as well.

They have faced Leicester, Stoke and Liverpool and have taken just three points from their opening three matches.

Arsene Wenger has had a poor transfer window as well, selling Oxlade Chamberlain and keeping Alexis Sanchez at the club.

Wenger already faces calls to quit the club, a third successive defeat in the form of Bournemouth is unthinkable.

Gunners Favourites

Wenger's side come into this match as favourites, despite their appalling start to the season.

This will be a tough match, with an extraordinary amount of pressure on Wenger even at this stage to deliver.

Arsenal will be looking to continue their unbeaten record against Bournemouth.

Poor Start

The Cherries come into this match in poor form, after suffering a third straight defeat this season.

Eddie Howe's side come into this match on the back of a 2-1 defeat against Manchester City, continuing their tough start to their season.

The hosts took a shock lead in the 13th minute through Charlie Daniels, a thunderbolt opener for the Cherries.

Gabriel Jesus equalised just eight minutes later (21), with the young Brazillian poking past Asmir Begovic.

Raheem Sterling had the final say with a goal late in injury time (90+7), before getting sent off just two minutes later.

 

Result Needed

Despite making a number of impressive signings, Bournemouth have yet to get off the mark this season.

Defeats against West Brom, Watford and Manchester City mean the club have no points from three fixtures.

They scored just one goal and have conceded five goals, meaning they are finding it tough at both ends of the pitch.

Bournemouth find themselves 18th in the Premier League, with just West Ham and Crystal Palace below them.

Cherries Underdogs

Howe's side come into this match as the underdogs, with the Gunners home advantage informing the odds.

Bournemouth will be looking to put in an excellent performance in this match, they desperately need three points.

They will be looking to record their first ever win against Arsenal.
