Burnley vs West Ham – Saturday 14th October 2017 – 15:00

Burnley are 8/5 with Chris Wood at 4/1 to score first.

Burnley face West Ham at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon, in the eighth round of games in the Premier League.

The Clarets come into this match in good form, winning their last match against Everton 1-0.

Jeff Hendrick scored the only goal of the game on Super Sunday (21), with the midfielder finishing a flowing move in midway through the first half.

Everton dominated all of the statistics, with more possession (63%), more shots (25) and twice as many shots on target (4) but they were unable to find a way through Burnley's defence.

It is another poor result for Ronald Koeman, but another excellent result for Sean Dyche and Burnley.

The win means Burnley have picked up eight away points this season - more than they managed in the whole of the previous campaign - despite playing Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton in those fixtures.

Fortress Turf Moor

Sean Dyche's side have enjoyed an excellent run of results against top sides, with eight points from the Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton games.

They will have been disappointed with their other results against West Brom and Huddersfield, losing four valuable points at home.

Burnley had one of the best home records in the Premier League last season, they will be looking to replicate that again this season.

This match against West Ham is another important game for both sides, but Burnley currently sit sixth in the table.

Clarets Favourites

Burnley come into this match as favourites, with home advantage and their excellent form decisive for the bookies.

Sean Dyche's men will be looking for their fourth win of the new campaign, a result that will move them onto 15 points after eight matches.

The Clarets will be looking for their first win in six matches against the Irons.

Tough Season

The Hammers come into this match in mixed form, despite winning their last game against Swansea.

They secured a much needed three points at home against Paul Clements men, a tough 1-0 win.

Diafra Sakho scored the only goal of the game (90), with the forward converting a low cross to secure a vital three points.

The forward put his ill-discipline on deadline day behind him, with what is a crucial win for the under-fire Bilic.

It means that West Ham have now won three of their last six matches, with a win in the cup as well.

Tough Follow Up

Despite their poor start West Ham appear to have turned the corner in their last six matches.

Vital wins against Swansea and Huddersfield as well as a battling draw against West Brom mean they now have seven points.

This match against Burnley will be a tough proposition, with the Clarets an excellent side at home.

West Ham find themselves 15th in the Premier League, they will be looking to move up the table with another win.

Hammers Underdogs

Slaven Bilic's side come into this match as underdogs, with Burnley's home advantage decisive for the bookies.

They will be looking to register their third win of the season in this fixture.

The Hammers will be looking for their 28th win in 60 matches against the Clarets.

West Ham are 9/5 with Javier Hernandez at 11/2 to open the scoring.
