Liverpool face Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime, in a huge Premier League fixture following the international break.

The Reds come into this match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Newcastle, another mixed result for Klopp's men.

Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring for the Reds (29), with the Brazilian scoring an excellent effort from outside the box.

It was the star midfielders 13th goal from outside the box in the last 18 months, justifying Barcelona's interest.

Reds Form Problematic

Liverpool have struggled at both ends of the pitch of late, with just one win in their last six matches.

They have drawn four of their last six matches, with problems at both ends of the pitch.

Klopp's side have been very wasteful in front of goal, with 17 shots overall and converting just two on target in the game against Newcastle.

The Reds look like conceding at any time, with Manchester United coming to town this could be a long afternoon for the Reds.

 

Liverpool Favourites

Jurgen Klopp's side come into this match as favourites, with home advantage informing the bookies.

This will be a tough match for Liverpool, with United in excellent form at both ends of the pitch and sitting joint top of the league.

Excellent Start

Manchester United have had an excellent start to the season, they have proven their title credentials even at this stage.

This is their first huge challenge of the season, their only disappointment to date has been the draw against Stoke.

They had into the match against their arch rivals unbeaten, Mourinho will be looking for his first win against Klopp's Liverpool.

A win here will be another excellent scalp for United, they must win to keep the pressure on rivals Manchester City.

Red Devils Underdogs

Jose Mourinho's side come into this match as underdogs, a surprise given their excellent and unbeaten start to this campaign.

This will be a tough match for United, despite Liverpool enduring a tough run of recent form.

United will be looking for a their first win in five matches against the Reds.
