Crystal Palace vs Chelsea – Saturday 14th October 2017 – 15:00

Palace are 13/2 with Bakary Sako and Wilfried Zaha at 9/1 to score first.

Crystal Palace face Chelsea at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon, in another tough fixture for the home side.

The Eagles come into this match in poor form, having lost all seven of their Premier League matches.

They lost their last match 4-0 against Manchester United at Old Trafford, another tough afternoon for Roy Hodgson's men.

Juan Mata got United off to the perfect start (3), with a cool finish past Wayne Hennessy to make it 1-0 inside the first five minutes.

Marouane Fellaini proved the unlikely source for United's second and third (35, 49), his first double for United but he will miss a significant period now through injury.

Romelu Lukaku scored United's fourth of the match late on (86), with United completing their fourth 4-0 win of the current campaign.

New Manager

Frank De Boer was put out of his misery three games ago, but there has been no improvement in results or performance under Hodgson.

The former England manager has had a tough start to life as Palace manager, with tough successive fixtures against both Manchester sides.

They face another tough task in the form of Chelsea, who themselves lost their last match against Guardiola's Manchester City.

Palace are rock bottom of the Premier League, with no wins and no goals in their opening seven matches.

Eagles Underdogs

Crystal Palace come into this match as underdogs, with their poor start to the season informing the bookies.

The Eagles will be looking to win this fixture, securing their first win of the new season.

Palace will be looking to emulate the result of last season, where they beat Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Tough Result

The Blues come into this match on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home against Manchester City, a damaging result for Conte's men.

Former Blues player Kevin De Bruyne scored the only goal of the game (67), with an outstanding strike enough to beat compatriot Thibaut Courtois.

Guardiola's side were outstanding at the Bridge, enjoying a remarkable 62% of the ball, unheard of at the Bridge.

They dominated total shots (17) and converted more of them on target (6), dwarfing the hosts performance entirely.

This was a tough performance and result for Chelsea, they produced very little in terms of clear-cut chances.

Mixed Start

That was Chelsea's second defeat of the new season, but they have had every type of result in their opening seven games.

They went into the match on the back of one of the best results in the Champions League, beating Atletico 2-1 away from home.

Conte will be wanting an instant response to last weekend's defeat, facing a poor Palace outfit.

Despite that poor result, Chelsea find themselves in 4th place in the Premier League, with 13 points from 7 matches.

Blues Favourites

Mauricio Pellegrino's side come into this match as favourites, despite their poor last showing against Man City.

The Blues are overwhelming favourites in this match, with Palace yet to score in the league.

Chelsea will be looking for their 18th win in 31 matches against the Eagles.

Chelsea are 4/9 with Michy Batshuayi at 11/4 to score first.
