West Ham vs Liverpool – Saturday 4th November 2017 – 17:30 - BT Sport

West Ham are 18/5 with Javier Hernandez at 7/1 to score first.

West Ham face Liverpool at the London Stadium on the Saturday Night Football, in a huge match in the context of Slaven Bilic's future.

The Hammers come into this match in good form, despite drawing their last match 2-2 against Crystal Palace.

Javier Hernandez (31) gave West Ham the lead just past the half-hour mark, finishing a counter-attacking move.

West Ham doubled their lead shortly after, with Andre Ayew (43) enjoying a fine run and superb finish to make it 2-0.

Joe Hart's stern resistance was broken when Luka Milivojevic scored from the penalty spot to halve the deficit (50).

Wilfried Zaha broke West Ham's hearts with the last kick of the game, slotting past Joe Hart after a naive decision from Antonio allowed Palace to break and score the goal (90+7).

Two Points Dropped

That was a case of two points dropped for the Hammers, having led 2-0 to draw with the last kick of the game will feel like a defeat.

The Hammers had an excellent result against Tottenham in midweek, winning 3-2 in the Carabao Cup at Wembley.

West Ham's last two performances have been excellent, another performance and result against Liverpool will cement Bilic's position.

Slaven Bilic's side find themselves in 16th place, with nine points from their opening ten matches.

Hammers Underdogs

West Ham come into this match as underdogs, despite enjoying home advantage and excellent recent form of late.

This is a big match for the Hammers, with Bilic still under enormous pressure to retain his position.

The last time these sides met Liverpool won 4-0.

West Ham

Excellent Start

Liverpool come into this match on the back of a much needed 3-0 win against Huddersfield in their last Premier League match.

Daniel Sturridge (50) opened the scoring for Liverpool, with the Reds made to wait before breaking the deadlock.

Roberto Firmino doubled the Reds advantage just eight minutes later (58), with the forward's header making it 2-0.

Georginio Wijnaldum made it 3-0 with 15 minutes to go (75), with a superb strike riffling the back of the Huddersfield net.

It was a great result for Jurgen Klopp's side, who desperately need to start securing wins.

Hard Fought

That was Liverpool's second win in their last six matches, with their other win coming in the 7-0 win against Maribor.

Draws against United, Newcastle and Spartak Moscow as well as 4-1 hammering against Tottenham has seen Klopp's side seriously questioned.

Liverpool move up to 6th with that win, they are a massive 12 points behind Manchester City though.

Their title challenge may already be over but they are only three points off Chelsea who are in 4th place as it stands.

Reds Favourites

Liverpool come into this match as the favourites, despite West Ham enjoying home advantage.

This will be a tough match for Klopp's men, with Liverpool winning just one of their last six meetings.

The Reds will be looking for back to back PL wins against the Hammers.

Liverpool are 7/10 with Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho at 4/1 to score first.
